The next most excruciating stroke is the 8 and 6 and under backstroke. It’s hard enough for an adult to do backstroke in a straight line, so there is no expectation of these kids doing that. Instead what we are treated to is usually how golden retrievers would race – completely random, kids going zig zag, kids losing all sense of direction and turning 180 degrees, and all sorts of random events. By the time they finish they are battle ready with the amount of scars and hits they have had on their hands and heads by crashing diagonally into lane dividers every 1 meter. Absolutely painful.

Nothing is more excruciating than watching 8 and 6 and under swimming the 25m breast stroke in summer swim. It’s like watching something at event horizon – it looks like they are reaching the other side, except they never seem to do. Of course there is no stroke mechanics involved here and it’s more participation and cheering glory, but literal puppies struggling and battling the monstrous sea to get to other side is kinda cute to see.

After months of trying to convince him not to come to USA for his masters, my cousin informed me he indeed is coming here for his masters. Then his mom calls up and says “now everything is in your hands! Take care of him and job placement”. Like, I spent months telling you why this is not the right time to be in USA as a student on F1 and how waiting it out maybe till 2027/8 would have been better, but now “everything is in my hands” it seems. FML.

Apparently the USA government gave Anthropic only 90 minutes to fix their vulnerabilities. In the AI age, 90 minutes is more than enough for a swarm of agents to fix the problem no? That’s the promise these companies keep making – so ok, eat your own dog food. Fix your vulnerabilities with your own AI! (Btw, this is not a novel concept – Cisco had self-defending and self-healing networking features that protected against cyber attacks and ddos as far back as 2003-4)
