📺 FROM (2022) – ★★★★☆

Decided to review season 2,3 and 4 all together. Season 2 and 3 were phenomenal, while season 4 was kinda slow and a bit meandering, but it’s clear that they are headed for a show finale in season 5. Unmistakable parallels to LOST for sure, and only yesterday I learnt that they share the same writers. Overall this is one reasonably scary campy horror series set in LOST kinda concept – and very enjoyable. I will say that some of horror elements definitely gave us chills. Can’t wait for final season to unlock all the mysteries.

Horribly cast and terribly acted fun series. If you liked LOST you are likely to enjoy this too. But yeah the acting is just all around terrible, but we are still invested enough to catch up season 2 and see if we want to see 3 and 4.

Season 2 began so well but seems to lose its way towards final stride only end so well. That ending. Also less beef more white lotus feels, but Carey Mulligan was so good. But yes the ending nailed it.

📺 Utopia (2014) – ★★★★★

Utopia poster

Utopia is the best comedy show in the last decade that has not made it out of Australia. Thanks to cousin of my cousin who’s based there we binged watched this over last few months and my goodness this nation building comedy is absolutely bang on the money on how government projects work. Absolutely brilliant show! Will share some YouTube clips of the show.

I don’t know if there will be a second season but man this 6 episode first season was totally award worth. Riz Ahmed is fucking good. And that soundtrack, ooof!

A solid season but why not just end this series here? It looked like it was headed to an organic conclusion of entire series.

The first season was so much fun but the second season felt pretentious. All this drama over wine seems slightly too much in second season. The end definitely looked like another season maybe upon us?
