We saw Laal Singh Chaddha on Netflix last night and can’t understand the vitriol the movie got. We thought it was a reasonably well made adaption of Forrest Gump, though the key issue is that while Forrest *is* a part of history of his own actions, for most part Laal just happens to be around when major events take place – and that diluted the impact. It would have been better had they tried to weave him into history rather than just a passerby to most events.

Aamir Khan’s performance is so uneven – his younger self is a pain to watch with that PK gimmicky look, but he is just incredible as the older Laal, and ridiculously effortless. Good one time watch.

This week’s British bake off was a great reminder that Mexican food is most popular in USA outside of Mexico. It was weird to see (and made sense) so many of em have no idea about what Mexican food was.

I have never understood why people vote for crazies in senate. I mean house I can understand – with gerrymandering and hyper localization very easy to have lots of crazies, but senate is at a state level, so how do these people get elected? What are voters at state level expecting out of … say someone like Oz if he wins? You’d think people would be a bit more sensible but eh they also elected donald trump so i am asking too mucha already i suppose.
