Was a hectic weekend spent in the company of friends at Philly. It had been a while we’d been to Philly, plus another family joined us too. 2 dogs, 4 kids and 6 adults were enough to create mayhem all through 3 days. While the adults and kids really enjoyed the time with each other, it was the two doggos who made it their own. They were pretty much stuck to each other through 3 days and not once was there a sign of aggression between the two. They were like BFFs forever! Super proud of the doggos and making our weekend even more enjoyable.

As an all electric houseowner (not of our own choosing), I am finding the debate on gas pretty amusing. There is no replacement for a gas stove when it comes to desi cooking and our experience with electric cooktop has been quite meh. We are eagerly awaiting Washington Gas to get the line to our house. Electric furnaces are great summer, but for midatlantic/northeast winters I dont think so. Unlike gas furnace, it takes forever for the house to heat up and takes half the time to cool down. This basically means, electric bills are super high during winters (not that gas is any cheaper). If our furnance was not replaced in 2021, I would have been looking at replacing that also with a gas furnance but I will live with electric for now. Water heaters are the only things I dont see any difference at all between gas and electric.
Another advantage of gas? You can at a minimum cook even if your electric is out. Purely depending on 1 source of energy to power your home seems a little foolish, considering how bad infrastructure in this country is crumbling in first place. Heck with proper backup power, you could even use your gas furnace to heat, but try that with a electric furnance.
I wish they focussed more on what are the remedies, and should updated guidelines do? i.e, better venting, exhaust systems etc.

Unlimited PTO is such a fucking joke. I just want my set days each year thank you. That way I know what I have to take, and I am not at the mercy of managers or leaders guilt tripping me.

Watched the trailer of Pathaan and immediately wanted to throw up. Maybe the protests are not bad after all lol – less people seeing this tripe better for all.
Catching up on sleep premptively this week because this weekend will be a sleep deprived one.
