Off late we have been watching random hiking videos of travel bloggers in India, especially the northern and north eastern part of India. Unlike our growing up times I am so glad that these treks and hikes are so much more accessible to common folks. Watching the incredible vistas is so much fun and makes me miss desh so much – India (& Pakistan) have such incredible landscapes in the northern parts it’s a travesty that both countries ruined an opportunity to be the best tourist spots in the world. One day I hope to do at least one trek.

Nothing triggers a desi on Instagram like a western cook attempting to cook an Indian dish 😂. To be fair though some comments are allright with me – like why call something Mumbai burger instead of calling it what it is: Pav Vada. I do think these cooks make amazing Indian dishes I just wish they didn’t need to keep westernizing Indian names. With that I am going to buy myself some Indian fried spicy donuts and Indian savory crepe with potato filling served with lentil soup and spicy coconut compote.
Spotted a complete retard on the street just now: a man out for a run in 20 degree weather in shorts and… well shirtless. Jesus what the fuck is this human made of?
The best sporting event on earth – India Australia test series is back!
Wakanda forever was excellent!
Good grief it’s insanely cold outside. Luckily 60s incoming within 4 days
I am so confused with this whole micro <> mastodon thing. So I can see someone else’s mastodon feed on my micro timeline but I can’t reply to them through micro? That has to happen on mastodon only? Or am I getting something wrong?
In my experience, most K12 companies will bend backwards to appease Florida (and Texas), and they also know it. 5 of the top 10 biggest school districts in the US are in Florida (and several more in top 20). Texas has 1 in top 10 and more in top 25. For any K12 company, Florida and Texas are huge business opportunities because of size of school district. Florida in particular is unique because the entire state has very few school districts, but they are way bigger in size. Even the most well intentioned company in K12 grapples with dilemma of towtowing to state legislature demands like Florida whose people up and down the chain in education are absolute idiots and should be nowhere close to education. Districts servicing bluer parts of state are often targeted/harassed and scrutinized way more. Its incredibly shitty how shitty Florida really is. Sure they got good weather, but if you ever want to see the future of America in 30 years, just look at Florida is all I will say.
Having worked with College Board before I can’t tell you how appalling of a decision it was to revise the AP African American studies curriculum. But also, I am not surprised at all either.
Only murders in the building is such a delightful show! Two great seasons and I want to be excited about third season if they can control Meryl Streep.
