Went outside for a check. In spite of shoveling 3 times yesterday we are left with a couple of inches of just frozen snow at this point. The shoveler won’t work and the ice won’t break. Fuckity fuck. We are basically now stuck inside the house for a week at least if not a few more days before this can even be handled.
Fresh snow with bright sunshine always looks so beautiful. And then it’s a messy slush until it melts. But I will take this over ice any day.
The kid decided not to go ski weekend trip sparing the us the trouble of having that convo with her parents. Her reason was that she just recovered from her knee injury after weeks of PT and she didn’t want to injure it again, especially for a sport that she didn’t enjoy much (much like me she prefers beach and summer sports!).
The dog finally pooped after I took him out once A and R failed. Pooped right in the middle of a cross road. Thankfully all snowed out so no cars in any direction but hilarious that the one spot he found was the right in middle of a 4 way road.
The kid is making hot honey chicken burgers for dinner. I am gonna shovel again because I need to make room for them. Yes, them as in plural.
Round number two of shoveling done. Our neighbors helped with their big ass snow blowers to shovel some of the big mounds away from entrance. It’s freezing raining / sleeting with gusto. I shudder at what it’s gonna be like towards evening and morning tomorrow. Practically gonna be an ice rink!
Not looking forward to doggy walk today coz he won’t know where to poop. On the plus side he gonna have more zoomies which means he gonna sleep!
Schools already closed tomorrow. My bet is they will be closed on Tue and Wed as well which will make it a week long break because Thu and fri were teacher work days anyway. Willing to bet entire week is off for the kids.
