So the high school is finally having its ICE walkout protest next week that one of the juniors in our community is organizing. Her sister is classmates with my kid – and the friend is like “oh my sis is only organizing it coz it will look good on her college app!” – my teen is like most kids are excited because it allows them to bunk school for a few hours and not that they really care. I asked my kid whether she plans to go. Her response was that she will if her friends go but it’s so performative she quipped. Meanwhile I am wondering about her friend’s sister who clearly has the art of grift. It starts early here doesn’t it?

Prince Andrew is such a worthless piece of human shit that he should be pelted with stones in middle of the street and then burnt alive. Every single thing about him is so disgusting and vile – these humans don’t deserve due process. They deserve utmost violence and pain on their way to death.

The SCOTUS ruled that the president was above the law. So what exactly are they going to do if Trump wants to ignore them? In fact I now want Trump to actively ignore their ruling just to spite them and show them what it meant to give him kings power. Fuck this SCOTUS. #TeamTariffs!

I say this again, Afghanistan should be banned from international cricket, period. If South Africa could be banned for 21 years for apartheid, then so should the Taliban ruled state. You want legitimacy on international scale, perhaps start by treating your women as humans. Fuck their cricket team.

Given the economy I was expecting some breathing room from fairfax county tax assessment on house. Well not to be – our assessed value again went up by 10% this year increasing my monthly tax. From 2022 to 2026 assessed value on our house has gone up by 40% almost. How is this sustainable? My community is a blend of older retired folks who have held on to their houses forever and younger families who all moved in within last decade. Given the current assessments and job market, our community is now pretty much out of reach for any first time buyers and barely in reach for folks with high paying jobs. I can’t imagine how much worse falls church, Arlington and Alexandria are at this point if we have gotten to that stage. Something’s gotta give – how can the county be out of money every single year even after assorted taxes going up year after year. Now if republicans cared about fiscal responsibility here is an opportunity for them, but too bad they are busy playing Nazis.

Sunday night through Monday we will get anywhere from 1” of snow to 3 feet(!) of snow. Of course the model predicting 3 feet is the outlier and the worst model of all when it comes of weather in our area but hey even a broken clock is right twice a day so who knows 🤷‍♂️
