As I am getting older the allure of camping becomes lesser and lesser. Not that we camped a lot but it seemed fun in younger days now it just feels like a chore. I’d rather rent a cabin with amenities and focus on enjoying the vacay itself than figure out so much shit. I don’t get the lure of camping anymore. Yes getting older is what it’s called!

Unexpectedly on an accelerated timeline my job profile changes this Monday and I am now going to manage a team of people instead of being an individual contributor. We had been discussing this change for a while at work but it was not expected to be formalized at least till April and suddenly yesterday due to some events at work, it was accelerated and now I start Monday managing people. Which means this weekend I am ferociously completing manager trainings that I had a month or two to finish 😕🤨

I’ve been watcher of SOTU going back to Bush days and I can safely say that last night’s Biden’s SOTU was probably the best SOTU I’ve heard or seen. This speech is going down as a master class in writing and debate, and should probably be taught in schools. Biden was relentless and fearless. He baited his opposition so many times & they didnt even realize what complete fools they were ending up looking. He started with a banger (*You cant love your country only if you win*), wasn’t afraid to call out the SCOTUS right in their eye, and then ended by recapping on a very personal human level. Fuck your old guy takes, what Biden did last night was a masterclass in speaking. More of this please till November!

Biden has come out all aggressive tonight at SOTU and I am here for it! Thank you for calling out the crooked SCOTUS!

Help. I need an app where I can take daily notes about my conversations with team. Essentially like a daily log of all notes I take while I talk to them. Is there such an app? I have tried notes, obsidian, quiver, but none quite fit the bill. I basically want to come to it each day and every day new note with date starts so I have a history. Anything [@pratik](https://micro.blog/pratik) you’ve used thats been helpful?

After hearing about it a lot, saw the first episode of **Shogun** last night and oh boy it was a LOT to take in. As in just the amount of story that happens just in first episode.

I was not aware but once I read it was so obvious; the top leadership of Apple is actually quite old. It’s not a wonder then that the company has slid into comfort territory. I will go as far as to say John Ternus is the only viable option if Apple wants to grow in future – anyone else is basically replacing one old guy with another. (Old is not necessarily bad, tech innovates with the young and that’s the hard truth). [Who is Apple’s next CEO after Tim Cook?](https://appleinsider.com/articles/24/03/06/the-next-apple-ceo-who-could-succeed-tim-cook)

We are doing spring over-seeding this time. Yes I know its not recommended or a popular choice, but given the tree shade we have in later half of the year, we are actually good candidates to do spring over-seeding while the trees are still barren and the weather is nicer! The soil/compost will not stink as bad as humid end of summer either, and if we dont have good success we have another opportunity in fall to double down on seeding. I am determined to have a lush green backyard in a couple of years!

Millions of Indian-American girls today can heave a sigh of relief that their Indian parents won’t come down hard on them with *If Nikki could be president, so can you!*

I dont get Apple’s constant strong arm stance about side-loading apps in Europe. Like Jesus, the phone is now more computationally powerful and capable device than the mac for 80% of the use cases, and there is nothing stopping anyone from downloading apps from wherever they want to Mac. There is no reason why we application download & install can’t operate the exact same way it does on mac. Greed is literally the only fucking reason Apple is on this path.
