I have actually never seen a single episode of “The Wire”. I started watching it once and stopped midway at first episode. I lived in Baltimore from 2001-2004 for masters, have taken public transport through some of the worst areas of Baltimore (of course only in daylight!) and was relieved when I finally left it so why do I want watch a tv show shot in and around same areas hehe. I know I should see it though at some point. It’s been years if not a decade or more I have been to Baltimore and I have no desire to visit this city.

Time for a nap. This match is not even worth watching to completion. What a bore.

Don’t get what was going on in England and New Zealand’s game plan last two matches. Both won the toss and made India bat which I think was a foolish idea. England came close but common sense would indicate that in a pressure cooker match against a side like India you are much better off putting pressure on India to chase rather than them put up a total.

Of all the places in dc that stupid, no make that incredibly stupid Indian couple decided to film a dance for tiktok reels at the World War II memorial. The one place in national mall that invites the worst of this country and is littered with maga galore – that place. And now they maybe deported. Good riddance. I support their deportation. Even if the place was not maga central, a war memorial is no place for a ridiculous dance video – like what the fuck were this couple thinking! Like you have entire fucking national mall with so so so many options for this. https://www.indiatoday.in/world/story/indian-origin-man-madhu-raju-face-deportation-viral-video-tik-tok-dance-world-war-two-memorial-washington-dc-us-2878879-2026-03-08

Longer days are here 😍🎉🥳 – can we just make this time permanent!

This is just terrible from New Zealand. Cmon this is the finals!

Dear wanna be American gujjus – putting your hand over your chest during the national anthem is not an Indian thing 😂. In fact there is actually a code, but you wanted to show off anyway.

My teen’s Iranian best friend is coming over for a sleepover so they both can watch the f1 race tonight. There was a third Iranian girl who wanted to join too but apparently their parents didn’t want to send her to our place without meeting us first because as my kid says her friend said “we are not Iranians”. My kid thought it was highly inappropriate of her to say this and it was racist – I didn’t think it was. I told her that her parents are looking out for her and they want to make sure whose house their teen is gonna spend a night at. But why phrase it “because we are not Iranians!” She quipped and I was like while word choice may have been weird, if she was going for a sleep over at a white family’s house whose parents we have never met, I would think exactly like her parents, and actually would be less concerned if her friends were Indian actually. Not that I wouldn’t be concerned but just being a desi myself, I would subconsciously trust my own people (even if unfounded) than I would trust a white family I have never met. We offered to FaceTime the other family but they never got back and so she is not coming – an outcome my kid didn’t mind coz she didn’t like the other girl much anyway. All is well that ends well.
