But on positive note, I haven't needed therapy this time unlike the last two times so that is good progress! I guess the therapy really did help me deal with a lot of underlying anger and disappointment. Therapy is a god send folks. Highly recommend it!

On one hand I am very glad that dad keeps busy with tons of things but on other hand everyone's problems are his problems – he is the president of HOA dealing with hajaar kutte-billi issues of the society, dealing with doctors and hospitals for 2 close relatives (coz why not?), writing a poetry book (which incidentally I came to know off only last week at his birthday party after he made my friends hear a few of his couplets. I had no idea he was writing one!), and his latest obsession – finding a groom for my cousin who's visiting us from Toronto. He told me he has so much to do and I should be helping him by taking load off him and finding a good match for the cousin. I looked at him straightly in the eye and said IDGAF.

A took dad and my cousin who’s visiting shopping yesterday. My dad picked up lots of gifts for his other daughter in law and nanny. I asked him so what did he buy for A and he gave me this quizzical look that said “What do you mean gift? Why would I give her anything?”. I can’t fault A for maintaining a respectful distance from my dad coz she’s seen me deal with be abject favoritism all my life 😆

@pratik Remember how quickly everyone forgot about substack? Now that I have time I want to write about about non personal work related stuff and I am hesitant to use substack though that is probably you want to be if you want reach.

@pratik @santoshhari You would never know in blue area of this state that abortion was on the ballot in VA here. Not one ad not one news about it. Meanwhile the other side has clubbed it as “extremism” and gone all out. Like padhi nahi inko – you would think Spanberger would be behind it considering she said she would.

@pratik @santoshhari Don’t promise to expand the court and then put a commission to study it – just do it? Fuck the court and use gerrymandered maps. Make all the tech guys do exact same bootlicking publicly that they doing now except for our side. At local level keep saying abortion access but don’t do shit about it. Appoint an AG who is indeed hyper partisan… There is tons democrats can put their foot down and do on day one instead of their usual “dono sides” rhetoric. Be unapologetically left.
