@pratik We definitely moved up the ladder through the years – seen both parts of it so I have an appreciation for it. But my bro is a diff story – and its weird to see even dad abandoning his once principled roots. I mean he doesn’t have that much money also lol.

@pratik Oh I know. In India upper class is basically people staying in villas and driving 7 seater Benz. Everyone else is “just there” but not quite.

Dad is so used to living his Indian lifestyle he really does not connect with the difference in lifestyle here. The upper middle class Indians with their army of helpers agents in the house have completely made them numb I feel. I don't think it registers to him that its me and A that keep the house the way it is and he's constantly telling us "arre in India we have this guy to do this". Today morning he asked me why don't we have an istri-wala that comes and get clothes and delivers them ironed. I just 🤷‍♂️ and told him it was an excellent business idea.

This is exactly why I am not that hopeful. The thing is even after all the shit that’s happened if the elections are this close it means Americans want this actively. The vocal minority is only online.

Doggo took vaccine yesterday. Became lethargic in evening but usually tough to tell coz he is lazy anyway. This morning puked thrice and is still lethargic. Back to the vet we go.

@pratik coz he is loud that he wakes up everyone. Because his hearing is going down he feels like he has to compensate by yelling on the phone. (also that Indian thing of I am so far away from other side I better talk loud thing). So we were like no calls after 11.

TIL that if you store the anthropic api key in your login profile, claude will default to it no matter what and will not use your subscription account. Unless you actually delete and unset the api key, claude will default to api key coz it can charge you more. Like why make all of this so complicated?
