This is the first company I am working that is completely dominated by Asians (non-Indians). Whites and Indians are the minority in this company which is slightly different from all the other places I have worked at before – generally they have been Indian dominated followed by whites and Asians.

Imagine I was 2 million in debt on my already under water house, but I want to buy a house worth 5 million and I go to Bank of America and say give me the best rate possible what do you think they will say? They will kick me out is what they will do. This is exactly what Paramount is doing by trying to buy Warner Bros but banks and lenders are like cool cool it’s ok you take on 85 billion dollars in debt – the American public will bail you out eventually so why worry?

My boss is out this week so I am his proxy and A is in India so I am also solo parenting ubering the kid around for her activities, cooking, getting dog his daily activities and dealing with escalations at night. I can’t wait for both of them to be back and I will fucking take a few days off!

I don’t think Jensen and Musk are totally wrong when they say that in ai era new generation of learners are better off focusing on math and physics rather than coding. I am sure it extends to beyond math and physics. We are already seeing it play out in high school. Comp science is no longer the in thing for high schoolers even in stem focused (read CS) like TJ. A good majority are now opting for biotech / neuroscience / physics / math / medical tracks etc. Comp sci / coding is nowhere in the top list for any high schooler anymore. Who knows humanities and liberal arts may after all come back.

It’s not that I cannot write SQL queries to do data analysis, but I do struggle when I have to write complex queries and have to join multiple data sets. Now with AI tools, all I do is prompt the AI to build a query for me. I know enough to know what I want and I can look at query to see if it makes sense but I am not smart enough to write the query in 5 minutes like AI does. For things like this, AI is so good. However as they say, if the underlying data itself is junk or the schema is sub optimal even best AI is going to serve you half cooked meat.

Temps above freezing so the snow was all slushy and wet – however it was not too much so shoveling didn’t take much time. The wind however is ensuring that snow is just flying around. Still this is a better outcome than last storm (and normal may I say) – temps steadily warmer through week so this should not stick around long. Commiserations to our northern friends who got hammered. Even our friends up in Philly were hit with a foot of snow and not done yet.

So the high school is finally having its ICE walkout protest next week that one of the juniors in our community is organizing. Her sister is classmates with my kid – and the friend is like “oh my sis is only organizing it coz it will look good on her college app!” – my teen is like most kids are excited because it allows them to bunk school for a few hours and not that they really care. I asked my kid whether she plans to go. Her response was that she will if her friends go but it’s so performative she quipped. Meanwhile I am wondering about her friend’s sister who clearly has the art of grift. It starts early here doesn’t it?

Prince Andrew is such a worthless piece of human shit that he should be pelted with stones in middle of the street and then burnt alive. Every single thing about him is so disgusting and vile – these humans don’t deserve due process. They deserve utmost violence and pain on their way to death.

The SCOTUS ruled that the president was above the law. So what exactly are they going to do if Trump wants to ignore them? In fact I now want Trump to actively ignore their ruling just to spite them and show them what it meant to give him kings power. Fuck this SCOTUS. #TeamTariffs!
