The Bangalore T2 terminal is quite stunning. I love the way it blends the outside inside with all the greenery and forests integrated within the terminal experience itself. All these modern Asian airports are absolutely gorgeous and make all western airports look so outdated.

OK I went into this expecting to hate it but goddamn this was such a gorgeously mounted movie. The background score, the music set pieces, the acting everything just is perfect! It’s too bad it lost out on awards due to controversy, but this movie was such a great watch. And I need to hear the OST right away again.

OMG what crap this was. I could get past 20 mins and even after that I fast forwarded another 20 mins to see if this crap picks up. Just gave up altogether.
Scale economics work so differently. The tech powering Indian companies today are working at a scale beyond what most USA companies can imagine and this is purely population driven. It’s nice to see India and China solving scale problems through tech differently than rest of world. Good for all!
Yet another night and yet another bar / restaurant / brewery and this one we had to talk like couple of mins inside the restaurant to get to table. Huge! Loving it so far.
- Even the kids acted utterly clueless as if they had lost all direction in life and their schedules had gone completely awry. While I am laughing at this, I am truly concerned by this nanny culture that is pervasive out here. Note that I am not against them at all, but it just feels like kids just don’t bond with their parents at all π
Last couple of days here before heading back. Which means more shopping! I swear I haven’t sent foot in malls in an entire year as much as I have here (well what else is there to do?). While they are fun you can only do so many malls. It’s like the entire city is bereft of anything else except malls.
Summer is advancing very fast it feels like. It feels noticeably warmer than just last week. On the plus side mangoes are already showing up so can’t wait to dig into few! Indian mangoes are the best but they are so expensive in USA we make do with Mexican ones which are also very good but not quite at the same level.
lol in all the dancing commotion someone has forgotten to turn off the music so this entire crowd is now angry that they are watching the presentation ceremony with desi and English music in background and no one seems to know who to turn to turn it off – how the mood changes so quick π. Desis have no patience.
Second time in 4 days I have had to tell separate cousins that the bars and breweries in Bangalore are outright bigger and better than anywhere I have been in USA and they genuinely have a shocked face. They are like well we thought USA must have at least 10x better. The new gen has absolutely no idea what India they have grown up in haha.
