📺 Long Way Home (2025) – ★★★☆☆
A few good episodes but overall didn’t have the charm of any of the previous seasons and it was obvious they were trying hard to find “unique” things in each country coz most of the ones they visited are already over touristy. The last two episodes were so hurried.
My heart goes out to the millions of innocent democrats who will bear the brunt of this bill. The Republicans who wanted this, thank you for the tax break I no doubt will get and I hope you rot in hell when you can’t afford your medications and you die alone in your house rotting waiting for someone to find out after maggots have eaten half of you. You voted for it – you should feel it.
Hindsight is always 20/20 but I am ok if history is not kind to Biden in spite of his tremendous achievements in office. I am ok if he is always remembered as the man who did not take the threats of fascism seriously and not doing enough to tackle it when he had a chance, and then let his selfishness and ego come in his way by not stepping aside earlier so some other person could’ve carried on his good work. Yep, I am comfortable if history remembers him rather harshly.
The good part about having my wordpress blog as the source right now for all short posts is that I could use scripts to delete all my previous skeets or mastodon posts but keep a copy on wordpress blog for now. I dont need 3 copies of all posts everywhere! I just need to remember to do cleanups every once in a while now is all.
If you have done nothing wrong, what is there to fear, amirite?

In an alternate timeline Elon could have instead helped Kamala win the White House, championed equal rights for all and pushed for bills that helped common man and watch himself rise to stratospheric level of popularity amongst masses while still getting all the buybacks and sweet deals from government. Now all he is a fascist who was slapped by his own boss, is a real loser, driving his companies to the ground and basically becoming a caricature of himself. Goes to show all the money can’t buy intelligence and foresight. I hope him and all his companies are utterly ruined.

Lovely watch! I was afraid it would become too much like slow horses but thankfully carves its own personality.
More I keep looking at our Central Europe trip from 2 years ago more I feel like Budapest is criminally underrated. It is easily one of the grandest and stunningly beautiful city out there but it never gets spoken in same vein as other major cities. To think it was a city I didn’t even want to visit.

James Walkinshaw( our second choice) won with nearly 60% of the votes. Irene Shin (our choice) came second at 15%. It was always going to be hard to beat James considering he was personably blessed and endorsed by Connolly before his death but that scale of win was still staggering. Will be voting for him on Sept 9!
