Went to the desi neighbor’s kid graduation party in the afternoon. The parents were all nostalgic recalling his growing up years and how they have reached a big milestone. As my kid steps into high school I know I am not ready for this coming our way in 4 years. No not at all.
As expected the trailer for Mani Ratnam’s new movie Thug Life looks absolutely atrocious. This dude has just lost it alltogether for years now; its sad really, such a genius man behind the camera and his last decade or more has been absolute crap one after another. I wonder what went wrong? Of course Rahman’s music for his movies are also crap now, but that can’t be the only reason? And no, Ponniyin Selvan was absolute garbage.

Beautiful evening in dc and not many maga trash around – mostly because the mall area is full of prom teens everywhere! All dressed up in suits and pretty dresses the whole area looks like so colorful and joyful! Happy graduation to all these kids and may you all be better people – and please don’t forget to vote the stench and trash out next election.

I really wish my cousin moved back to India from Canada. She is young, multi-talented and a very hard worker. Canada has nothing to offer her with current job market, cost of living and immigration hardships that most are facing there now to keep staying there. At her age we were having the time of our lives here – and she works 7 days a week to make ends meet so she can pay off her loans and just survive in Toronto. Instead she could be in India, with her parents, invest in a dance studio while doing her IT job and find more meaning in her life than whatever she is doing here. I hope she listens.
I have no idea how I am feeling. I haven’t slept more than 4-5 hours past few days. I feel good in morning only to be a wreck by afternoon. But its not like I have a runny nose anymore but insane headache – which quickly goes away with an advil. Of course I know this is all signs of something viral but fucking annoying!
Cousins sis is visiting us from Toronto and flew in last night. In anticipation of more questioning by border control at airport, she asked for all my IDs and address proofs so she had them all just in case she was pulled out. Her immigration process took all of 20 seconds it seems and she sailed through the pre-clearance. Anyway, good to be seeing her after a decade. Its crazy that we haven’t seen each other since 2015 for one reason or another but good to finally catch up!
My wife has been convincing me to invest in high quality jeans for a while but I haven’t gone out of mentality of spending more than 20 bucks on a pair of jeans, and then I’ve hated them all. So last week I finally went out and bought pair of Mavi Jeans and 7 For All Mankind and now I feel like I’ve completely lost out on many years of comfort! Sure they are expensive, but goddamn, I can never go back to my 20$ wranger anymore! I should listen to my wife more about clothing choices.
