I always hate the feeling after a fun vacay week or people leave after few days, and you sense that normal day to day routine is starting again. It takes a few days for it to really settle into rhythm again. This was a good week. We didn’t plan any vacay and our Philly friends didn’t as well – and things kinda came together and what was supposed to be a weekend trip became almost a week trip much to the thrill of kids, and us. We did so much this week and were out and about every day with trips to great falls, wineries, restaurants and trail walks – it was refreshing, and much thanks to splendid stretch of weather we were blessed with.
Friends left a bit ago after 5 days and the house just feels empty. Doggo is so tired he is already taking a nap. I am glad they preponed the trip by a day resulting in extra fun times. We all were like where the F did 5 days fly by. Time just goes fast when you are having fun with folks you love and it’s a break. Bonus – the weather was absolutely spectacular all through which is rare!

Took friends over to great falls park yesterday – thanks to cuts at NPS there is no one minding the entry booth and instead you just have a QR code asking you to pay entry fees online. As expected nobody did and just drove in. Can’t blame em either coz there is no cell reception at the park so there is no way that QR code works either. I bet trumpkins and DOGE are very happy they saved taxpayers money am I right?
Can’t wait for companies to start removing their microwaves and banning eating at work so local economy improves.
