My kid takes our dog out for walk daily; we live in a white neighborhood (with little diversity) with a mix of old army families and new young families. I have to say these days I’ve been thinking if letting her walk the dog is a good idea or not because of all the immigration and ICE raids happening. These motherfuckers don’t care if you are citizen or not, they just look at color of person – and I honestly don’t trust any majority of old white boomers in our community (they may very well be very nice people)! I’ve been toying with thought of taking over walk, but I also don’t want her scared in her own country. Its just unbelievable we even have to feel like this. All those who voted for this BS, this is all on you.

Cousin Sis left back for Canada today. It was great having her at our place and we actually saw each other after 10 years. Last time we met was at my brother’s wedding and at that time she was just about to start college. 10 years hence she’s grown into a mature twenty something, probably way more mature for her age thanks to the daily struggle. Canada has been a disappointment for her but she is stuck there grueling it out so she can pay off her loans and think of next steps. Everything you hear about young people struggling (especially in Canada) is so real when we talk to her. She desperately needed this break to reset herself and I am glad it worked out with her schedule and us. I wish she had never left India ugh! It really hurts me to see her struggle like this.
I don’t know why it is scandalous to demand why Biden’s doctor may have missed the cancer diagnosis 6 months back before election. It’s ok to to disclose how body works to a largely uneducated public and tell them how it was missed. Not saying anything is basically playing into right wing conspiracy. Dems will never learn.

Went to the desi neighbor’s kid graduation party in the afternoon. The parents were all nostalgic recalling his growing up years and how they have reached a big milestone. As my kid steps into high school I know I am not ready for this coming our way in 4 years. No not at all.
As expected the trailer for Mani Ratnam’s new movie Thug Life looks absolutely atrocious. This dude has just lost it alltogether for years now; its sad really, such a genius man behind the camera and his last decade or more has been absolute crap one after another. I wonder what went wrong? Of course Rahman’s music for his movies are also crap now, but that can’t be the only reason? And no, Ponniyin Selvan was absolute garbage.

All dressed up in suits and pretty dresses the whole area looks like so colorful and joyful!
