There is no other show on television like The Morning Show what has mastered the art of spinning around in circles for 4 seasons in a row. Like entire premise of the show is that the news network is just one step away going bankrupt and dead but doesn’t somehow by end of each season.

A part of me is like who the fuck are democrats fighting for? If the majority of the people that the healthcare subsidies expiration are republicans or from red states, fuck them. Let them pay more. Why take away livelihood of a DC federal worker to protect an asshole who doesn’t mind paying more to make America great! Not like they gonna remember who fought for them next election anyway.
The whole TikTok saga will go down as one of the most incredulously self-own by the democrats in a long time. First they went after the wrong problem, then forced TikTok for sale only for Trump to come in and get the sale done for his buddies who have promised to make it into a right wing propaganda machine. What the heck did you achieve Biden? All this for what? What a fucking self-own this that will hurt them so much over time. Idiots.
My kid has been struggling with math in high school. She is refusing help and she is not strategizing how to get around this problem, and that’s driving us up the wall (well mostly her mom more than me), leading to lots of fights between us and the kid lately. Her mom was definitely more accomplished academically so she takes this far more seriously while I have to keep reminding her I nearly failed my 12th grade, took a long time to find myself even in engineering days (and yeah math/mechanics was my nemesis back then) and finally turned it around in grad days. But of course I don’t say all of this to my kid lest she gets similar ideas that it’s ok to emulate her dad lol, so I join forces with mom and go after her knowing fully well that she will probably turn out ok just like us – except maybe hate us along the way. The joys of parenting!
🍿 Dhadak 2 (2025) – ★★★★☆
Calling a sequel to original dhadak was such a crime. This is a very gritty coming of age story of a dalit man and a privileged woman. Much parallels to today’s times as well. And yes this dark side of India does exist. Highly recommended even though dark and grim.
📺 The Ba***ds of Bollywood (2025) – ★★★☆☆
The first five episodes were good, and the mindless absurd humor meets the mark. The numerous cameos work wonderfully well (seriously is there any Bollywood actor who did not have a cameo in this series?), and the meta references on everything and everyone Bollywood often land, because they are not over explained. Then the series becomes a mess in the last two episodes with a twist that just doesn’t land. Still, I feel like there is a good director in Aryan who really felt he had to prove he could direct any genre. Maybe next time stick to a couple. That said, absolutely fab acting by Karan Johar playing himself, and how good was Arshad Warsi in a hardly 10 minute role but lands it so well that every other cameo looks sub par.
Why do the icon sizing look so weird on IOS26? I am sure they are all the same size but the Liquid Glass treatment creates a weird optical illusion making some icons for some apps feel like it’s stretched out in bottom. It feels like visual metaphor they were going for is looking down physically. Just doesn’t seem to work – I can see how it could work for a VR device but on the phone it looks off Ux wise. So unlike Apple this!
I don’t give a flying fuck what happens to James Comey. The dude single handedly pushed the country over a tipping point. If not for his antics there was a good chance Hillary wound have pulled it off and we would be in a different timeline. Rot in Hell motherfucker.
LOL, wake me up when people take the China K visa seriously. I don’t think China gets it that it’s not just the visa that makes H1b attractive, it’s the whole notion of living in America that makes it more attractive. You don’t just create a new visa category hoping that folks will come there instead of USA. Unfortunately, the current government knows this all too well and are using this as a leverage to do whatever the fuck they want.
The FIFA Tickets are going to be such a shit show aint it? between the hospitality tickets and various ticket packages held by all sponsors etc, the actual number of tickets that public can actually buy is going to be minuscule. Just invite the rich and famous no for all these games and be done?
