Sadly we use our deck a lot. Our backyard and deck was one of the reasons we bought anyway since doggo is out a lot and we like to spend a good amount of time on deck when it’s not cold. So this kind of an investment we may end up doing anyway ugh.
House crap never ends does it. Recently noticed a couple of our joists on one part of deck have come apart. Call a contractor and now we have discovered rot on some posts, and the entire deck was built before code enforcement – so now to repair the deck I kinda have to bring the deck to code, and more digging later it’s turning out to be we may have to just replace our entire deck coz it was built crappy from grounds up and now becoming a risk. Fuck my life.
Apparently DNC has commissioned 20 million to understand how to reach gen z and young people. Meanwhile AOC / Sanders / Pete / Hogg are showing them how every fucking day. AI is fucking everywhere. Those in big companies are probably not feeling it much right now but walk into a smaller company and it’s every fucking where. Tech industry is in for a harsh awakening in the next decade and only those who adapt to it will survive the technology leap; technology leaps have occurred in past too when we went from PC to mainframes, and mainframes to on-prem and the back to cloud, and the AI leap is going to be similar. You can either adapt to this change or perish like many did. Hopefully this is the last technology leap I have to deal with and adapt before retirement 😆
Started watching “Freedom at Midnight” on Sony LIV last night and just into episode 1, Arif Zakaria as Jinnah and Rajesh Chawla as Vallabhbhai Patel steal the show. And yeah, I still think Gandhi’s costliest mistake ever was to elevate Nehru instead of Patel that cost India half a century of going nowhere. Patel really should’ve helmed the free India. Looking forward to next 4 episodes.
This is my 4th time managing a new team and I can now confidently say there is one sub group of people who are just constantly hard to manage. Constantly. At this point in my team I am already dreading working with this group. Whether it was my startup days or here, they are all the same. Please don’t be like them.

Sugar Baby could’ve been interesting, but the rest of the OST is outright steaming pile of hot crap. How in the world the same Mani-Rahman combination that gave us Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Alaipayuthey fall from such peak to give us this hore-shit?
My neighbors are not thrilled that I am about to plant green giants all across our borders – they grow quickly and within a couple of years we should have full privacy from them. I mean every time they talk to us the wife has reminded us how the original owners of the house wanted the side yard to be beautiful so *they* got a good view out of their house cos they house faces angled to our side yard. Well now you shall see a green wall 😆
