I have given up on two things and its somehow bringing me peace because I feel like I can start looking ahead:

1. Biden is the nominee.
2. Biden is going to lose big to Trump, giving him the house, senate and presidency.

I have no absolutely no doubts about #2 happening at this point, so in a way I am actually at peace that my vote is mostly going to be performative. I need to look beyond to see whats next and what might be coming.

The follow up to The Three Body Problem is spectacular as well, though it does suffer from a rather weird translation. Especially if you jump into this book right after first, the translation becomes obvious – its not nearly as captivating or as free flowing as first book. The first third of the book makes you go what is going on, but the final third of this book is just brilliant. I kept thinking I know how this is all going only to be stumped again & again.
