As the inauguration is nearing (you cant help feel it in DC area!), I feel a sense of trepidation and nervousness about whats to come. I am genuinely feeling concerned for not just my own & my family’s well-being but others around me. I know I am going to be mostly ok, but I just dont feel good about what’s to come. I don’t know what is coming but I don’t feel that its going to be good. On the other hand I feel like I am also beginning to align more to the left that truly believes dismantling every single institution and framework and starting again. I am now beginning to believe that is indeed the right thing, not wrong. This country has reached a point where I want every institution to break down completely and restart again. I dont know why I feel this, but I definitely feel it now more than ever.

The math head presented a great slide imo and conveyed everything she wanted to in less than 5 minutes. The on-level vs honors level qn were on-point. I will be sheepish to say I really couldn’t figure out honors level qn – the smarty pants in me was like oh yeah I can tel you the answer right away, and then I was just blank. Definitely had a *are you smarter than a 5th grader?* moment.

Yesterday we attended the high school orientation session for our school district (yeah i know its only January!). It was a great with each department head presenting options freshmen students will have as they start thinking about their classes in 9th grade. While they all acknowledged that options and AP courses increase from 10th grade, 9th grade still offered lots of interesting options for students to take. The kid and us all agreed that she would absolutely take 9th grade Humanities program which is a combination course between World History 1 Honors and English 9 Honors, and both subjects are taught together. I absolutely love the course work that this program offers – luckily, kid is thrilled about it too! In addition to these kid was interested in Student Government Association, as well as taking a course in Marketing and maybe, just maybe attempting a CyberSecurity elective. Way too many choices so we have some hard conversations ahead in next couple of months, but we absolutely know Humanities is going to be in her selections.

Next Tue is 3 degrees at night. This horrid stretch of weather continues. Also looking another snow storm might be brewing bringing in more snow. This winter has been one of the worst ever. End it already!

New coach at the gym: “Great job! Great form there! You have come a long way!”

Me in my mind: “Today is the first day I am coaching with you ever so not sure which way I came from….”

Silo S2E9 gave me LOST vibes, where one thing opens to yet another new mystery, more questions and more unknowns. I hope makers don’t go down the route of creating so much mystery and unknowns that they have no idea whats happening. As is, Season 2 has been a dump for the most part.

What about *Bin Tere Sanam* has made it into an evergreen classic? I did not know it was also Jatin-Lalits debut.

lol. Forget Asia, they can’t even compare to three star hotels of USA. A random ass 3 star in USA is miles better than a 4-5 star hotel in Europe. Asian hotels are a pipe dream.
