I don’t get the fetterman must resign thing. Like let’s say he does. Pennsylvania is so fucked they will elect a worse brain dead Republican in his place.

My cousin is here from India on a startup discovery and holiday together. He resigned from his previous startup a few months back and has been wanting to start something of his own so he is here to talk to some of the VCs that funded his old startup and also on holiday. While I was in India i had told him that India was the right place at this time to start something of his own, but I sensed a hesitation. He’s been here two weeks and spending the final week with us here, and first thing he said was his friends in bay area and people whom he had come to meet also convinced him of the same. The current political environment, coupled with hardline immigration stance means that if he wants to get an O1 visa to start something of his own, it mostly likely won’t go through. Pretty much all advice he got was, avoid studying in USA if he wants to start something; instead start in India, get some good funding going, and in a few years use that experience to maybe migrate to USA on O1 visa if things are looking good here. I think that was great advice, and honestly I feel vindicated that I am not alone in thinking that if you are entrepreneurial, India is the right place right now. So many problems waiting to be solved at scale there. I am wishing the bestest of luck for his pursuits after he heads home next week.

My sincere hope is that in 4 years Europe comes out stronger than it was before and doesn’t need America as it has in the past. They can do it, they just need to unite and execute. We really do need a fourth front in this world right now, and a fiercely independent Europe is required.

Last evening I was at Giants shopping for weekly grocery when a youngish looking white guy approached me and told me he needed a signature to get on the ballot later this year for VA elections. I looked at him and said I had no idea who he was and why I should sign my name on his pad. He then proceeded to tell me he was a republican candidate wanting to get on ballot this year to save Virginia. I said no thank you, and started walking towards the entrance. I could see that the Giant manager was already outside asking him and his friend to leave for solicitation when I bumped into another white old man. This old man was also with a notepad and he goes, “would you mind signing up for my republican friend over there so he can get on the ballot”, while trying to hand me the notepad. I dont know what came over me, but I loudly yelled “OVER MY DEAD BODY. NOT A REPUBLICAN” and just huffed my way inside. This is so unlike me in public and I’ve never really yelled at anyone like this in middle of a parking lot. I guess the frustrations of the last few months really took on me and I flipped. But you know what, it actually felt good to take this old white bastard to task and yell at him in public. I hope these pathetic leeches of society go away.

🍿 Wicked (2024) – ★★★★☆

Wicked poster

This was surprisingly very good! First 10 mins I was like what is going on but the movie gets better and better. Looking forward to second part!

IPL is laughable. If a team can score 286 in 20 overs then something is seriously wrong in the game. At that point the game is just gully cricket practice and not a match between two competent teams. I refuse to consider IPL T20 as actual cricket.

Apparently we are having a constitutional crisis in this country according to the media, but no living ex-president or a presidential nominee has made one sound about it, or spoken one word about what this current administration is doing, so why should I get so bothered and worked up. Let’s wait and see what happens no? If it really was a constitutional crisis then I would expect the people in power who have been closest to it in their life time to say something.

Bernie and AOC showing how to mount something of a fight back. The establishment democrats should be ashamed and embarrassed with themselves.

It’s been two months and while Trump is fast and furiously chipping away at the constitution the “experts” media are still warning us about a “constitutional crisis” coming. Motherfuckers it’s already here, not coming. Journalism in this country is pathetic.

I hope the makers of Severance give a lesson or two to makers of Silo on how to structure sophomore season. Silo was so good in S1 only to become a mess in S2 before correcting itself towards the end, while Severance S2 simply upped it big time. Apple TV+ really is stellar and I hope they keep investing into it.
