Started watching “Freedom at Midnight” on Sony LIV last night and just into episode 1, Arif Zakaria as Jinnah and Rajesh Chawla as Vallabhbhai Patel steal the show. And yeah, I still think Gandhi’s costliest mistake ever was to elevate Nehru instead of Patel that cost India half a century of going nowhere. Patel really should’ve helmed the free India. Looking forward to next 4 episodes.
This is my 4th time managing a new team and I can now confidently say there is one sub group of people who are just constantly hard to manage. Constantly. At this point in my team I am already dreading working with this group. Whether it was my startup days or here, they are all the same. Please don’t be like them.
The outdoor pool has been open a week but also closed because water is too cold for swim – what a great start to summer swim this year and it shows no sign of warming up enough to heat up the pool. It’s fucking April still!
Damn that third episode of bin Laden manhunt in netflix was just gripping tv. On the whole I loved the doc series for the way it’s put together. Very gripping and well done.
Listening to “Yeh Jo desh hai Tera” and I wonder how would Swades be remade today? Cant believe this classic is 20 years old and remains an aspirational movie, although unrealistic.

Does A. R. Rahman even hear what he is composing these days? I tried to listen through Thug Life soundtrack, dubbed as “A R Rahman Musical” and my fucking lord what an absolute torture. Sugar Baby could’ve been interesting, but the rest of the OST is outright steaming pile of hot crap. How in the world the same Mani-Rahman combination that gave us Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Alaipayuthey fall from such peak to give us this hore-shit?
There we go again – another 2 days of awful continuous rain before next break. This May has been terrible.
