Finally finished Gangubai Kathiawadi in 3 sittings. Not that the movie is boring, but like his recent movies, Bhansali seems to have succumbed to box office economics and not story telling. He is a film maker that likes to makes epics but has been forced to play the economics game which results in choppy movie experiences IMO. I wish the movie was not as episodic, but Alia really kills it with her role. Phenomenal acting saves the movie!

We are rewatching the entire Stranger Things series with the kid and it’s actually nice to see how consistent the threads are on the show – be it characters, or story arcs. Like it took us by surprise to see Max in very first episode of season 2 – we really thought she came in season 3! Same with the Russia storyline – that has been around since season 1! And finally, it is more evident than before that show is so much more about everyone else than Eleven who is kind of hyped up as the star of the show.

Amazon is the #1 company to work at according to LinkedIn. It also feels like the #1 company where people are quitting in droves. At this point I am sure just like their warehouse employees, Amazon is going to run out of engineering/product pool also to hire from soon.

On the whole mindless time pass that I didn’t mind catching on Netflix. Would have been hard to sit through in a theater for me, but this was in dabang category – it’s so silly and entertaining you will excuse the craziness of it.
