Spaceman Spiff to the rescue
These are tv shows we have seen recently.
📺 Foundation (2021) – ★★★☆☆
The cleon part was the best part of this finale. Overall what a middling season yet again. It started to get really good and then in true foundation style just kept going nowhere. I really hope next season is last coz this series is not very good right now (nor has it ever been)
📺 Saare Jahan Se Accha: The Silent Guardians (2025) – ★★☆☆☆
Couldn’t even get past episode 3. Could have been so much better.
📺 Panchayat (2020) – ★★★★☆
S4 was a good watch but it’s clear that the story needs to come to a closure at this point. It’s renewed already for season 5 and I am hoping it’s the last. Still one of the best desi shows on tv.
📺 Long Way Home (2025) – ★★★☆☆
A few good episodes but overall didn’t have the charm of any of the previous seasons and it was obvious they were trying hard to find “unique” things in each country coz most of the ones they visited are already over touristy. The last two episodes were so hurried.
📺 Dept. Q (2025) – ★★★★☆
Lovely watch! I was afraid it would become too much like slow horses but thankfully carves its own personality.
📺 The Better Sister (2025) – ★★★☆☆
Starts out great but quickly goes downhill and becomes predictable.
📺 Black Mirror (2011) – ★★★★☆
Season 7 was middling. The subscription episode and eulogy were peak black mirror episodes but everything else was meh. It feels like even their better scripts are offshoots of *San Junipero*, which was rightfully a masterpiece.
📺 Adolescence (2025) – ★★★★★
Absolutely stunning. Those last 10 minutes just cut through your heart. Oooof!
