Absolutely landed the ending IMO even though a few episodes were meandering. This show has been such an integral part of our TV watching last decade – R was 5 when it first aired, to her becoming a fan when she stated watching it two years ago, to now all of us sitting and watching the finale as R as in high school feels like a journey. There won’t be a show like this again for a while for sure.

Pluribus poster

Pluribus has to seriously pick its pace and story to be a more compelling watch. Will forgive the first season as Gilligan world building but gosh the show is a torture for most part.

Nothing original in terms of storyline but beautifully acted and situated. How good was Tom Pelphrey?

Season 3 was hard hitting as usual but Huma Qureshi butchers it mostly because she is surrounded by so much superior talent. Season 1 and 2 have set the bar.

πŸ“Ί The Family Man (2019) – β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜†

After 4 years, season 3 was such a let down. Like ghisa pita to the T. Did not expect this at all from the family man.

In its 16th season still remains our family favorite. I still remember starting to watch this show years back when my kid was like 6-7 and it’s still a show that just makes us happy!

πŸ“Ί The Ba***ds of Bollywood (2025) – β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†

The Ba***ds of Bollywood poster

The first five episodes were good, and the mindless absurd humor meets the mark. The numerous cameos work wonderfully well (seriously is there any Bollywood actor who did not have a cameo in this series?), and the meta references on everything and everyone Bollywood often land, because they are not over explained. Then the series becomes a mess in the last two episodes with a twist that just doesn’t land. Still, I feel like there is a good director in Aryan who really felt he had to prove he could direct any genre. Maybe next time stick to a couple. That said, absolutely fab acting by Karan Johar playing himself, and how good was Arshad Warsi in a hardly 10 minute role but lands it so well that every other cameo looks sub par.
