Arrrrghhh!! I actually rented this complete piece of crap and paid premium $ to rent it. I guess at least I didn’t see it in theater and regret more. What a hopeless sequel to one of my favorite movies form youth. Yuck!

🍿 Hridayam (2022) – ★★★★★
Logging for posterity that I rewatched it again in 2024. I love movies that play heavily on nostalgia – not everyone’s cup of tea but surely mine.
🍿 The Godfather Part II (1974) – ★★★★☆
This was way better even at 3:20 run time. Still required me two sittings to get through, and final 45 was a slog allright!

Rewatching the series this Christmas and oddly enough in retrospect the original movie doesn’t hold up as well as I thought it would. I didn’t remember any of it going in so it was like watching a new movie – I mean it’s a good movie but I remember it being great!
🍿 Sikandar Ka Muqaddar (2024) – ★☆☆☆☆
Never going to get back two hours of my life I spent on this back. Ugh.
🍿 Kalki 2898-AD (2024) – ★★☆☆☆
What do you get when Indian mythology (Mahabharata) meets Dune meets Mad Max meets Blade Runner meets Iron Man meets Transformers? You get Kalki of course!
Spectacular special effects mounted on such scale, but it’s so lost trying to be so much. So many good ideas just lost in there. This movie should have been a slam dunk and it yet took us 5 sittings to finish.
🍿 Challengers (2024) – ★★★★☆
This turned out to be way better than I expected. The slo mos get you towards the end, but this was a fun watch! Now when was the last time Hollywood did a good love triangle?

Could have been so much better but saves itself from being a bore by Kriti Sanon’s acting.
🍿 Wolfs (2024) – ★☆☆☆☆
Couldn’t even make it past 45 min mark. Such suave actors and zero chemistry. Like how was that possible? This movie should have worked purely on Pitt/Clooney chemistry and it was such a drab.
