πΏ Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) – β β β ββ

Hilariously campy crap.
Spaceman Spiff to the rescue
These are the movies we have seen recently.
πΏ Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) – β β β β β

Gorgeously mounted absolutely pointless threequel. Why does this movie exist other than being a cash grab? The story goes nowhere at all. Unless avatar 4-5 have some of technological marvel to support flimsy plot I think we are done with this series.
πΏ Haq (2025) – β β β β β

A well made well acted movie based on life of Shah Bano Begum, whose fight for equal rights for Muslim women went all the way to Supreme Court. The movie is simple and thatβs what works – no jingoism or tamasha.
πΏ A House of Dynamite (2025) – β β β ββ

The first act was superb and it retains the tension throughout but I wish there was a bit more to it.
πΏ My Cousin Vinny (1992) – β β β β β

Watched it with the kid today. Always a classic and she loved it too!
πΏ Dhurandhar (2025) – β β β β β

A solid 3 and half stars – I added half more purely for the soundtrack which I am fan off and how well itβs used in the movie. It absolutely could have done without the jingoistic nonsense towards the end coz it really didnβt need it at all – but for a three and half hour movie it was entertaining enough to wait for the next part. Just how good was Alshaye Khanna though in his role? And refreshing that for pretty much majority of the movie the βheroβ of the movie is actually in the background.
πΏ Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) – β β β β β

Entertaining threequel but didnβt have the magic of glass onion in my opinion. that was a better mystery.
πΏ DiΓ©s IraΓ© (2025) – β β β β β

A rare Indian horror movie that earns its keep. It doesnβt try to do too much, but what it does it does very well. Malayalam movies are on a different level! And how gorgeous was that house half the movie is set in? Just gorgeous modern architecture.
πΏ Homebound (2025) – β β β β β

A poignant movie about two halves – of caste and privilege which had similarities with Dhadak 2 – and other half of how the govt failed to come in need of the very people that needed it most during the pandemic. The final act is very moving.
