2 days to closing and even though this is our second home, the jitters are no less different than first. When we bought our current house, the economy was not necessarily hot, we were a single income family with a toddler and on H1b+H4 visa, and we had moved states cross country – the level of jitter and nervousness was palpable, but for good reason.

This time, we are old timers, no longer have the visa thing hanging on our heads, dual income family and a preteen kid who doesn’t need as much attention as we think. Technically I shouldn’t be as nervous or jittery as I was 9 years ago, but somehow I feel even worse than 9 years ago, in spite of knowing fully well mentally that I should be feeling great about it!

What gives?!

How did Coinbase go from a ultra hot startup that attracted only best mein best from FB / Google / etc to a dumpster fire in less than 6 months? They were gaining reputation as the place to beat for PM interviews, having taken the worst from Goog / FB and making their PM hiring insanely difficult. Well good luck to all of you idiots – even the best mein best can’t save a pyramid scheme from toppling.

Except of the Joyce-Hopper storyline in Season 4, I must say Stranger Things volume 1 really ended well- I did not see that ending coming at all. Volume 2 better be satisfying finale!

Closing on the house this friday and shitting bricks feeling because you know just as I thought, the economy is crumbling *right* after we bought the house. But I guess it would not have mattered even i I had bought the house last year – the feeling would be the same, yes? Frankly biggest worry/annoyance is to put our current house on market asap, though I am also tempted to sell to Opendoor for less and get done with this without all the jhanjat.

Americans love to bring misery to themselves. At a birthday party one parent goes how disruptive their daughters swim team practice schedule is – they have to be out by 3pm to fetch one daughter and take her to swim practice by 4:30 while the other daughter comes home at 4:15 pm and she needs to be at swim practice. And both husband wife basically get nothing done at work starting 3 and they need to work post dinner and then they also do ballet and basketball on weekend and all.

And I’m like, there’s a good enough swim team that practices like 5 mins from your place! Why the F are you driving 30 mins in traffic here and there only for a slightly “better” swim team and making your life so miserable! Beats me!
