Another birthday comes, and another goes. We wish over facetime and whatsapp, and after 15 mins of loving heartfelt convo, we are back to work and family in India goes back to sleep. Being away from family it feels so bad to miss out on smaller moments, simpler moments like watching your neice grow up. I wish they all moved here so we could all be together geographically. I wish we were back home instead so we would all be together too – after all, if not for family, what else binds me to either country?

Meanwhile the 11 year old is legit annoyed that she was woken up by the dog after being in deep slumber for 9-10 hours. Enjoy it while it last kid, you will forever long for it in your life.

I honestly love days when I get a good 7+ hours sleep at night and wake up fresh next morning. Small wins as I age 😆

The last two episodes of For All Mankind have been frankly disappointing. I would hate to see one of the best shows on television today lose its way like it seems to be now.

We had our open house last weekend and believe the news when they tell you that the housing market is collapsing. Over the last 4 days we have the had house on market, we had zero tours on saturday or sunday morning. On sunday afternoon, our realtor organized a open house that 6 people came by, and then an additional couple stopped by later in afternoon. We don’t know if this is going to result into a offer on the house, but the change in the market dynamic is so drastic its unbelievable. Luckily for us, we dont have to have to sell this place and can put it on rent. But I fear for people who overpaid hundreds of thousands more on their second homes, and hoped to sell their first home to refinance their second home. Ugh. We are in for a wild ride.

A dog who sheds heavily certainly makes life harder when putting a house on sale. It feels like we have vacuumed our house at least 20 times in the 3 days so its speck and clean. After today’s open house I am gonna be like yeah whatever, deal with it.

Is it just me or for a big Aamir Khan movie after several years, Laal Singh Chaddha does not seem to have any buzz around it. I wonder whether its because of the rising anti-muslim sentiment in India thats causing this or the movie genuinely doesnt look exciting – still its Aamir Khan! I theorize that its probably the former: There was a time in Bollywood in 50-70s where muslim actors changed their names to Hindu names so they were not discriminated, but that sentiment kind of went away in 80s 90s 2000s where muslim folks pretty much ruled Bollywood. I feel that the anti muslim sentiment that has been brewing in India for last decade has finally come to Bollywood.

Omg the amount of news and coverage that the stupid Harry and Megan receive. Just shut the fuck up all of you – I don’t give a flying fuck whst happens in that goddamned waste princely family of yours.

Went for a one hour drive and I am exhausted lol. I need a chill week of doing nothings.
