Tempted to buy META stock today but I also don’t like buying shit.

The idea that Apple is testing ads as part of iOS is frankly sick, especially coming from a company that has always been at the forefront of privacy and user experience. If this comes to be, it will be a shameful pivot that the world’s richest company will make. Even worse, it will set a precedence for other companies to do even more worse than before. Seriously Cook’s greed has no end.

Find it hilarious that right after Apple brought back MagSafe to Macbooks, they are now going to be hand twisted into supporting USB-C on the iPhone (iPads can’t be far behind can they?). In retrospect, a single connector for all devices would’ve been nice! I mean one charger to rule ’em all – but now we must all deal with both MagSafe and USB-C.

I am still bummed/annoyed about last night debate in PA. Democrats sure love to drag themselves into a ditch all right. If Fetterman wins from here it will be a miracle, period. Unless democrats are willing to go real dirty like GOP they are going to get fucked everywhere. Fuck the let’s be better nonsense else there will be nothing left to be good about.

What is painfully obvious in the debate is that Fetterman’s health is a genuine talking point. This is the first time I’ve heard Fetterman speak at all, and it was clear he needed help. I do not doubt that he is fit for the job, but part of debate are about showmanship. At times I was feeling Fetterman was having hard time grasping and articulating his thoughts. My dad of 70 years suffered a stroke few years ago and made a full recovery within a couple of months — so it certainly felt like his stroke and medical issues are way more serious than they were letting them to be. Man, I wish he had not debated at all.

It’s really hard to watch Fetterman in this debate. He probably should have never agreed to this devate. Hate to say it, this might seal the deal for him – I honestly honestly hope not.

Every year we call all our relatives on both sides of family on Diwali – some of ’em, most likely the only call or two for the year (the other being Ugadi). Its something that I’ve been doing from year 1 I’ve been in USA. I often wonder if we didnt call them, would they ever feel like maybe calling us first and wishing us? I harbor those thoughts for a bit and eventually decide to call anyway coz there is an hidden bond that I feel for ’em given they were an integral part of my growing up years.

For the last several years though (and this year, in particular), the age has really started showing on people. Someone was weak after a hospital stay, someone had a new disease, someone’s back and legs are bad, someone’s eyes are giving trouble. There are no longer greys, but whites and wrinkles. The conversations have a different tone than 20 years ago when they were in their 40s. Every time I put the phone down all I wish they are all there next year when I call ’em.
