A definite spring in his step this morning, and seeing slight weight gain too. Was interested in exploring outside on walk. Diarrhea still not gone, but dermatitis is healing. Slightly more active and energy than yesterday, but fingers crossed trajectory ahead is promising.

For all mankind S3 finale was a good watch but can we all just agree how incredibly stupid that Kelly storyline is?

The overwhelming feeling I have today is of guilt. While I know I did my best before selecting the boarder, it just wasnt enough for the doggo. Its clear to me he’s suffered some trauma over last week, and while I am going to fight tooth & nail with Rover, I can’t forgive myself until I see him back in his full glory.

Got to visit doggo in hospital and we spent a good hour with him. He looked better than yesterday but still not there yet – so another night in hospital with fluids, but marked diff between yesterday and today. Also, suffering from massive dermatitis along with dehydration, but all additional tests are normal. If things go well he should be home tomorrow for extended care. 🤞

Happy independence day to my favorite country in the world, with all its flaws and shortcomings.

Our initial plan was to pick our pup from boarding today evening, however our boarder had told us that he was beinning to feel a bit tired, and had developed a cold and slow. So when we landed yesterday, we immediately decided to bring him home.

When we went to pick him up from boarder, our jaws dropped. He lost an insane amount of weight, was completely lethargic and didnt even wag his tail or look at us. I cannot emphasize how heartbroken I was looking at him. Lifted him, put him in car and immediately drove him to ER. Docs did a battery of tests, and while his numbers looked OK, his numbers were elevated due to severe dehydration. He has been on IV fluids last night, and while he is improving, most likely will spend another night in ER. Words can’t describe how incredibly angry I am at the boarder and lack of care. Hopefully he will pick up from there on road to recovery.

Never again, ever. This was such a lesson, and yes we landed back into reality with a big thud.

As cringey as it sounds, I like the simplicity of thought where the PM is more interested in tiranga campaign vs USA where the ex president may or may not have shared nuclear codes with Russia.

Turks & Caicos was memorable. Last few months have been incredibly stressful for us, and this last minute vacay couldn’t have happened at a better time. We had blocked off last week for a vacay almost 8 months ago but had no clue what we would end up doing – and as this year has progressed, lots of other stresses got in way. So literally the thursday before the monday we left, I booked tickets to T&C, and then booked a last minute hotel after calling a few resorts. Luckily, the air tix to T&C were cheaper than flying to Miami (go figure!), and this being the “low” season in T&C, we were able to get a very good hotel room at a “resonable” price for T&C. For once, booking last minute actually turned out in our favor as even in low season, T&C is actually quite expensive.

We loved T&C, but its hard for me to come to terms with how expensive this place really is. Its a place I recommend anyone who can & afford, should do at least once – but I would be hardpressed to recommend it a second time to anyone, purely because of costs. There isn’t a thing in T&C that you look at sticker price and have a jaw drop moment. Dinner entres at any random decent restarant ran from 35-50$ per entree, drinks a solid 12-15$ and appetizers/desserts anywhere from 15-20$. And oh, did I mention most places charge almost 25% in taxes. Yep.
