I really hope that Ted Lasso is not barreling towards a very predictable finale where the superstar player joins West Ham while their talented but jealous manager comes back to his old team & helps them defeat the super star, & Lasso bro decides to hand over reigns to him & walks into the sunset.

Cant wait for Presidential indictments to become a regular spectacle of American politics now. We cannot be far away from
Florida or Texas AG juries indicting Obama, Biden and more. It’s gonna turn into a clown show very quickly.

I honestly feel both Mani Ratnam and A. R. Rahman should retire to save themselves from becoming an embarrassment.

I have always had a little bit of short fuse. I get angry very fast, but I also lose that anger relatively quickly. But that spike of anger is always bothersome. My preferred method is yelling if I am angry. A couple of months ago I started noticing that whenever I yelled, our doggo would get scared. Then he would come and start pawing/licking you as if he wants to pacify you. After first couple of times I took that as sign that he’s indicating to me that I need to calm down immediately. I’ve taken this to heart in the last few months and every time I see him come to me to give his paw when I am angry, I immediately tell myself to calm down and take it easy. I then proceed to give him lots of hugs and kisses and within a minute or two my anger is gone. I’ve gotten to a stage where I get angry and I subconsciously look at doggo to see what *he* feels. If he comes to me I know the sign I need to calm down immediately, and it has helped me so much I can’t explain. My doggo makes me a better man every day and I am so glad for it!

I wish this USA split into two countries so I wouldn’t be forced to acknowledge that red state bastards & motherfuckers are also a part of this country.

Oh in other news, the junk removal guys who came in today took… apple pay as payment! This is the first time that I have ever used apple pay to send money to someone and it was so fucking effortless. I am surprised it is not used as much as Zelle or Venmo. I mean in 1 in 2 has an iPhone anyway.

Confirmed that I have RTO in may. Not such a bad thing. My life pre-pandemic was also going to work 2-3 times a week only for several hours, never an entire day. I think the opportunity go back and meet people especially will be nice! WFH 24/7 is kinda weary anyway, and without any mandates there was no reason for any of my team mates or people I know to be at work. Now thanks to it there will be overlap and meetup. I dont think its bad at all – will be a nice change to be back at work, and also doggo will train to live alone for a few hours which is a good thing.

Getting older feels so subtle. Over the last week I’ve had to call someone to move heavy adjustable bed from ground floor to bedroom and assemble it, and I’ve had junk removers take out stuff from our rooms and trash it. Just a few years ago I would be ringing my buddies to move the furniture up ourselves and then also remove junk from other rooms. Now, I can’t even think about it. I’d rather just pay a nominal fee and get it done with and not have to deal with any unforeseen injuries either to me or my friends. Joys of getting old I suppose!

The local gym I go to has a new coach, a woman of Pakistani origin (first generation American whose parents immigrated from Lahore, Pakistan). She is a young trainer, probably just out of college and kicks some serious butt. Fitness training is the last place I expect to see a south asian (& muslim), much less a woman so when she joined as a coach I was surprised! And boy within a short few weeks she has already carved a name for herself within the gym community. She has built a reputation for being a terrific fucking coach that people look forward to training with! I hope that she continues to coach at the gym for a while, and honestly what an inspiration to all the young girls, and parents like me who don’t usually view fitness industry as a place where desis can break into.

PS: Thats what I love about this area in general – the incredible diversity of people!
