We became a family when the kid was born. We became complete when the doggo joined us. I honestly can’t fathom why we didn’t have a doggo this long. Its been only 18 months since doggo has been with us but none of us can imagine a life without him anymore.

I propose that RTO plans be defined by age groups. If you are over 30, you can be remote as much as you like. If you are under 30 but above 25, get to work at least once a week. If you are under 25, RTO every day. I think its extremely important for young folks (new grads) to be in office full time so they learn soft skills by being around others. It sounds crazy on paper but remember that most young folks are already going back to work full-time. I can bet that amount of fresh grads who are choosing to stay home is in minority.

The more you fight RTO plans, more a company is going to fight back. For last three years, surging economies and lack of talent in marketplace meant that companies were at mercy of job aspirants, so they’d do anything to hire or keep them. Now that train has left the station and companies have rediscovered their power back and they are flaunting it as much. You want a HCOL salary but keep living in a LCOL area away from HQ, too bad.

We got done with House of the Dragon last night. The first 4 episodes of this series were terrific! But after that it quickly becomes Succession set in medieval times. While the series was enjoyable I am not sure how much more can they stretch this drama thats mostly contained within a single family. Hopefully doesn’t go down the GOT way of seasons upon seasons leading to nowhere, but i think its inevitable.

This is a rather well written post. I wish other companies provided this level of thought and detail instead of usual legalese heavy crap. Kudos to him for emphasizing that a tech company should be a product & engineering company first. Getting a appointment for dog grooming was tougher than wife finding an appointment at the beauty salon. What a world we live in.
