Our friends are also joining us now for our summer central Europe trip and as a result we have added one more destination in our already whirlwind trip. We are going to shuttling cities nonstop all-right!

Finally what I had feared would happen, happened. Went upstairs to take a shower while Hobbes was downstairs with dad; dad let him out on deck and completely forgot about him. I come back to dad merrily talking to bro in other room while Hobbes barking on the deck to be let in. *That was Hobbes barking?!* was my dad’s reaction when I told him he was waiting to be let in. This is why I always worry when we leave him with dad to run an errand and there’s no one else home. It was only a matter of time something like this happened, and knowing my dad if he was not in front of deck door, he probably will ignore him barking for an entire day assuming it is some other dog.
This has been the best spring in the last decade and half I’ve spent in the mid-atlantic region hands down. The temperatures have been absolutely perfect hovering between late 60s to late 70s in day time, with ample sunshine and little rain. When it rained, it rained on weekends for a day and has gone back to gorgeous days right after. Sure, purely speaking it *should* have rained way more than it did, but I dont care – knowing this region, we will make up for the rain sooner or later, so I am going to continue enjoying this absolutely amazing spring 2023.
It was only because of charimastic leadership of Sri Narendra Modi that Dev Shah was able to make Gujarat proud by winning the Spelling Bee in USA. I am pretty sure someone in my family is going to fwd a video on whatsapp about it soon.
Kinda disappointing to read Oppenheimer is rated R. We were planning on making it an essential viewing with kid in imax on release day – now we will have to wait till reviews are out to be sure if we want to take her. Language/violence/gore is not an issue but nudity/sex definitely is so need to wait and see why the movie was rated R.
I have been hooked to [Andante Espressivo](https://music.apple.com/us/album/andante-espressivo-string-orchestra-number-one-boy/1689640612?i=1689641301) from Succession in repeat loop. This would be such an amazing piece to hear it live in a orchestra won’t it? I wish the kid was taking music in 7th grade but thanks to electives system here she cannot take it in 7th grade ugh!
As I am getting older I am realizing I *should have* taken more interest in woodworking and general home improvement as a hobby a decade back. Now I want to get into it but I also feel I am too old, too fat, too lazy and too unmotivated to venture into something completely new.
Done with Ted Lasso last night, and even though it lands the finale reasonably well, it was all still so underwhelming at best. Its a pity that this once great show had to bow out like this (if it did). Apple has a 3rd season problem innit? Somehow their shows don’t seem to all jump the shark around this mark, and its ok if Apple realized this and decided they will just do smaller season shows. S3 of Ted Lasso was needlessly so overlong and unnecessary it spoilt all the magic this series once had.
Both *Servant* and *For All Mankind* have faced the same issue at Apple; after an excellent sophomore season both crashed and burned in third season. Anyway, I am glad Lasso and his jadoo ki jhappi days are over.
I hope *Succession* ushers in a new age of TV shows where they end by 3rd or 4th season. Too many prestige drams were ruined because the network & creators decided an extra season or two was really need to *tell* the story. Yes I am looking at you *Breaking Bad*, *Mad Men* and *Better Call Saul* each of which went on for season or two too long. *Breaking Bad* should’ve ended at S4, and *Mad Men* at S5 at best. *Better Call Saul* is an exhausting watch in S6, so much so I still have 5 episodes to go, and I hardly care anymore. I hope American TV finally learns from British TV on having concise shows and telling as much story as needed instead of just going on and on because they attained prestige status.
That video of trash around mount Everest is so fucking despicable. Like climbers spend tens of thousands of dollars to train and eventually summit the mountain and they can’t even be bothered to take their trash with them? Absolutely pathetic and no matter how big your achievement is you suck as a human.
