A solar salesman came by a few days ago and I was like ok send a quote if you please. This morning he sends me a quote that would meet 60% of my energy needs. The cost: approximately 68000$. I laughed out so hard looking at that quote – like Jesus have these companies lost any sense of reality? Why the fuck would I shell out almost 70k to meet 60% of my energy needs when I can just keep paying my energy company every month instead of chasing some mythical break even point that may never come with this kind of upfront cost? Ridiculous.

After two weeks the schools have finally started on time. We are in our third week now and snowcrete has melted may be 10-20%. Hopefully the start of 40s weather will start accelerating the melt. Done with this shit!
