I only caught snippets of apple keynote yesterday and I am so done with the pre recorded bullshit. I get that during pandemic it was necessary but they have to bring back those live events. These pre recorded sessions are so corny so made up and so boring frankly. It’s like they wanted to make a 3 hour video with as many employees as they can possibly fit in. Imagine how Jobs would have fucking sold the VisionPro on stage? And what we got was a lifeless laundry list read/recorded by 10 diff people on what an extraordinary device it was. That one man Jobs would have sold it so well people would have forgotten the price tag by now. We are never really going to see such characters aren’t we? All we are left with now are Musk and co types.

Ah, the joy of seeing dad defending Modi in full earnest but also seeing him majorly impacted by the new demonetization drive. He doesnt get the irony and I am done explaining.

Few thoughts on Apple Vision Pro. My first reaction looking at the keynote was what a big game changer this would be for people with disabilities and mobility issues; its too bad that the people whom this will benefit the most will not be the people who will be able to afford it initially, so I am hoping that Apple figures out ways to make it cheaper. People in assisted living facilities or senior living could really find a new way to connect with their families.
Also think could be a game changer for education industry and how students in future might learn about engineering and biology concepts. My cousin in Ahmedabad already use VR to showcase how their house would look before they begin construction and interiors. They say the #1 thing that sways people with their choices is when they put a VR set on and visually see how their remodel or house interiors would look. Imagine now doing that with high end VR like Apple? There are tons of possibilities of this going ahead.

But one thing I dont think will happen in our lifetime is people being in VR whole day long from dawn to night like a hellish Black Mirrorish episode. The pandemic has convinced me that humans are at heart social animals and even the most advanced technology is not going to change that fundamental need to connect with other people.

Catching a cold is one of the most terrorizing feelings for me honestly. I go all out to try and either control symptoms initially or avoid getting it – zinc tablets, vicks, advil you name it. Coz more often than not a full blown cold for me eventually results in me taking antibiotics after several weeks to get rid of the cold and eventual infection. I should’ve been more careful. Since it was summerish I was like it should be ok not wearing masks, but back to masks it is because motherfuckers around me are still out even if they sick.

Only a matter of time before a news article comes out that goes into detail about how Jobs was involved in VisionPro before he died.

I was ready to pee in my pants looking at the vision pro demo until he dropped the price and I was like phew gonna be a lot of years before I afford one. But I see the promise.

Caught a bug over the weekend, now sick like a dog and haven’t slept a wink, feeling miserable and feverish. What a great start to my kids bday 🙁

As generally a fan of Indian k12 system thst I grew up in this is so depressing and ridiculous! The knowledge industry is the one thing Indians excel at but here we are culling even that competitiveness. What exactly is the aim here is just confounding me. From 20 to 30 you feel like you’ve hardly aged at all. 30s to 40s ain’t so bad either, though it’s noticeable. Body takes longer to recover, life becomes a calendar of events. But from 40s onwards? Feels like the body ages 2 years per year and progressively gets incremental by 45. What the fuck happened?

How did what was supposed to be a Chillax Saturday become such a activity filled day full of walking and shopping and driving and everything in between? I am exhausted!
