Why do couples repost each others stories on Instagram? Is it like some marriage or couple code that necessities this? If I am following you likely I am following your partner also now I get to the same story 4 times because she re shares what you shared and you reshare what she shared and now my Instagram story feed is full of your stupid kid doing stupid things (but cute to you)!

Finished *Recursion* in a single sitting today because my kid was waiting on me, and the moment I finished she says *isn’t it reading a mash of Inception and Tenet put together?*; and I don’t think I could have summarized the book better! I enjoyed reading it as a time pass book but yeah def felt like it was written to be made into a eventual tv show or movie.

Apparently some rando professor in some rando university in America said something about Modi and my extended family WhatsApp has lit up with messages about what that rando said. My goodness the amount of validation Modi’s supporters seek out of west about him is so sad and pitiful. Like jeez, he’s the leader of the largest democracy in the world, one of the fastest growing economies in the world and you want validation from a random white bloke in the west? How desperate are you really!

These apple rumors are so over top all the time I find it funny people even pay attention anymore. How many years (or a decade) at this point have been hearing about *next version of Apple Watch may measure your blood pressure and blood sugar* thing? Now apparently airpods will *measure your hearing loss and body temperature*. Like just fucking stop it already. Even if Apple is planting these leaks they (or not), they need to get a grip on how idiotic these all are.

There is a family in neighborhood whose dogs escape away from their house constantly every few weeks. Then she posts on the HOA page about it and other families pitch in to find her dogs. Last night all three of her dogs ran away because of fireworks noise – she posted again on HOA and again some families went out looking for dogs. I am like you stupid fuck, just lock your goddamn doors and protect your dogs. Feels like the other neighbors have also spoiled this family into assuming they are everyone’s dogs! If your dogs are shit scared of fireworks and you know about it well in advance then be fucking ready! What sn irresponsible dog owner – to think they have 3 dogs.

Two back to back nights sleeping at 2 has exhausted me already and I have so much to do this Sunday ugh! Luckily I am also on holiday tomorrow and then 4th so 2 days to nicely recuperate is appreciated.

Based on someone’s recommendation on micro I got *Recursion by Blake Couch* from the library. The daughter insisted she wanted to read it, and finished the book in a week. She highly recommends it, with caveat that “language is inappropriate at places & situations”. Not sure how I feel about my daughter and I reading the same books now. When did she grow up so quickly!

We have more friends over this weekend from other side of country this time and oh boy oh boy the guy is a big fan of one who must not be named. Told me tons of people would happily vote for the orange buffoon but can’t coz of visa issues. Ask why is this so? Look at SFO what have they done to city! I’m like how does it impact you living well 75 miles south, but somehow that is super important to fix. Businesses are leaving by droves he says and I ask to where? Austin! What a great state! So why haven’t you moved yet I ask? Oh we don’t want to move there it seems. Why aren’t other desis moving I ask? Oh everyone wants their kids to be rooted in culture and easy to do so there. I decided to change topics coz I need to tolerate them for another day 😖
