There is this white guy at work that I really like. Super smart, super helpful and is always ready to share as much as he can. Just one problem – he hates the eng team he manages and often gets into extreme arguments with them. I don’t manage his Eng team nor am I qualified to do so either but I depend on this guy to give me information that will help me build a solution and bridge the gap from product to leadership and sales. After weeks and weeks of insisting he was right and things had to go his way, we figured out that he was indeed wrong and the Eng team that he hates was right. He even forced other product managers to change their delivery plans because he was convinced he was right. Since he has been here for a while and is considered a top SME nobody questioned him. Well after the debacle yesterday, all he could message me yesterday was “I am so sorry! I will just stay out of it and let you lead”. All I could mutter under breath was “you motherfucker!” – now I am the one tasked with managing angry people all over the place. As they say, immigrants get the job done!

It was a lovely night to be out on the deck last night till 2am! Of course with the workout and lack of sleep I am a total wreck today. Luckily nothing much to do today so it shall be spent taking naps and recuperating!

This is the second lowest I have weighed in a while. The only time I weighed a little lower than this was in 2006-7 after I started focusing on health. While I never have hit the peak of 2005, my weight has had considerable fluctuations over the years and early this year it had again climbed up. I don’t know if I am gonna plateau soon or will keep losing weight – though I don’t care about that part as much as my lower sugar levels!

Horribly cast and terribly acted fun series. If you liked LOST you are likely to enjoy this too. But yeah the acting is just all around terrible, but we are still invested enough to catch up season 2 and see if we want to see 3 and 4.
Looks like dad’s paying us a visit later this year and staying with us a for longer time coz he wants to experience cold it seems. This coming from a guy who wears mufflers and sweaters for a walk in 80 degree summers. Well don’t say I didn’t warn you dad. Also, got a terrific deal on virgin Atlantic premium so it was criminal not to book it!
