How can a candidate that raised more than a billion dollars in campaign lose so thoroughly? How could this campaign with literally everything at their disposal not see something like this coming? How can a campaign with one of the strongest GOTV efforts on the ground do so badly almost everywhere, even in places they won? To me it’s an indication of a party/campaign that is completely out of touch with the common man.

A part of me now wishes Trump had won 2020 also; perhaps we might have been at the tail end of a 8 year horrible nightmare ready to turn the page instead of going back into it again, and this time it promises to be even worse. Maybe we should have endured through it and we might have seen last of him? Wishful thinking.

Looking ahead though can Sotomayor fucking retire so Biden can get one young blood in before she dies and opens up yet another spot for Trump to fill? I am dead serious she needs to do it to save whatever can be saved at this point.

Anyway I should be glad that I do have a place in India to go back home to if ever – millions don’t even have that option. Small mercies I am from India and in the majority there (yay Brahmin Hindu!).

Anyway since I am awake I just need to let it out: democrats won’t win unless they elect good white guys at the top. Obama was a deviation and a pleasant one at that, but the country is not ready yet for an inclusive progressive coalition just yet (may never be). I honestly don’t think it’s their strength at all – I have argued before republicans look far more inclusive than democrats do (even if they attract the worst of them).

Obviously I haven’t slept the night at all and my heart is still racing. I did not want to say it out lest it came true but the writing was on the wall a month ago. I just did not want to believe it is all. As I have said before there is no path for this country for a blue and red America to exist together.

Man I miss my Indian citizenship…

Severe 2016 feels at this point so yeah I am switching channels and getting back to this later. To say I am disappointed is an understatement but nothing I am seeing changes my opinion a country in decline. I sincerely hope I am wrong in a few hours or days.

Indians are the most Indian people outside of India. I don’t know why the mobs in Canada are chanting *Bharat mata ki jai* (long live India!) when they are probably all Canadians at this point 😂. Like if you care so much go back to India and do that all that protest no? What are they even fighting for these clowns.
