Why do we need a White House if we also want No Kings?

A sumptuous dinner is coming shortly. I am gonna sleep with a bottle of tums by my side but holy diwali I ain’t not eating whatever is coming my way 😀

It’s hard to reconcile that this is the first Diwali that we have celebrated with A’s parents. Definitely need to make that a pattern rather than anomaly!

At Shenandoah today multiple white folks came to us and wished happy Diwali out of the blue, unprompted. One of them asked before wishing if we were Indians, but others simply did. This is the America I love and it feels truly nice when it happens. Thank you!

Since A parents here we decided to take the Diwali day off. After a quick breakfast headed to Shenandoah for leaf peeping followed by a grand feast in evening! Diwali is fun with everyone around.
