I feel like a repeat of Terry McAuliffe is going to happen to Biden at national level. Nobody in VA wanted Terry to run for governer but he did anyway, then ran a shit campaign and lost narrowly to Youngkin in the race. Biden seems to be on the same path right now with same kind of campaign, and it’s beginning to feel like dejavu to lot of Virginians I feel.

The kid is going to an away camp tomorrow for the week where she and others will work on you guessed it, swimming! She is looking forward to it because she is going to be housed with two of her best friends so they are going to be in a dorm just like roommate besties!

Katie Ledecky looking in good form at the Olympic trials. Complete dominance in 400 free which basically means she is probably going to be a lap or two ahead in 1500 free! Hoping the best coz the 1500 free finals IS the race we wanted to see at Olympics (and are seeing!) and we will be right there cheering for her to win it once more! Kid is already planning same-club posters so hopefully Katie catches her alumni poster!!

The sad fact for me is not that I and dad are just disconnected at pretty much most levels at this point, but that disconnect also propagates to rest of the family too. He has absolutely no interest in our day to day lives, events, sports or other things. A couple of years back he made some effort to be involved in kid’s life & events, but now even thats disappeared. He has no interest in joining us at any swim meets or outings, or engaging her in any conversation of connect. My kid tries harder to connect with him than he does, and I appreciate her so much more for this (pats on back, I am raising a good kid!). Give him a phone with Whatsapp and he’ll be happy to be on it 24/7 with little or no care in the world consuming all the forwards and videos!

God Milwaukee relax – just because a dodo says you are lousy doesn’t mean you take it to heart so much. Look at Baltimore. If you said the city was lousy nobody would disagree with you! P

We saw Hasan Minhaj last night on his *off with his head tour*. For most the comedy was very funny even if uneven. But I really don’t know why he did the political parts though especially about election because it was so safe, so designed to not piss off anyone in particular it came across as forced. And yes we can all thank Mr crap Jon Stewart because Joe every comedian has to make a joke about Biden’s age and normalize Trump. Kinda annoying that even comedians like him have really gone out of their way to showcase both of them as same, which Hasan also does. Other than that the show was quite good though nowhere close to his earlier gigs.

The two people that I used to bitch about at work all the time for being completely useless and incompetent are now going to report to me from Monday. Fuck. My. Life. 😭

Me: Its only been a couple of weeks but I am feeling really good after therapy sessions.

Wife: Yeah when you pay someone $$$$ to tell you the same things I tell you everyday it obviously will feel better!

I think Trump expanding his battleground map to Nevada, New York, New Jersey and Virginia has the 2016 vibe of him taking on rust belt and converting them. New York and New Jersey seem hard to flip but Nevada and Virginia are totally possible flips. Question remains how much are democrats going to take his plans seriously or simply ignore the rust belt like Clinton did assuming she’ll win. Biden is just so out of news except his videos showing his old age its hard to comprehend what sort of campaign he is even running except “I opened X offices in X city”.

It’s intern season that means a lot of young motivated individuals who really want to put their best food forward at everything. They bring so much positivity and fun to workplace.
