I used to be a huge fan of Hoka shoes once upon a time. Now I can’t stand their *lets make everything as garishly colorful and bright as we possibly can* look of all their shoes.

This whole reservations for “Kannadigas” in Karnataka was a long time coming. For more than a decade BJP has been successfully brainwashing people in Karnataka against muslims, Tamilians, North Indians and even foreigners. Nowhere else are you going to find this level of hate against non Kannadigas as much as in Bangalore.

That said, I dont know why Bangalore became so brashly outwardly toxic like this. They could’ve easily just adopted the Chennai framework and given everyone the silent treatment for not speaking their local language.

Here’s the deal: if Biden does drop out and refuses to endorse Harris, prompting an open convention, and we somehow end up with a white person for president again, I think I am gonna sit that one out. I will stop donating to any Democrats however small they maybe and they will absolutely lose my trust that they care about POCs beyond lip service. It’s Harris or fuck off.

Say what you want, but republicans are very good at elevating shitty people of color and bringing them into mainstream news. Like how many POC democrats are in national cycle as much as republican POCs? Beyond Kamala, its hard to even think of a notable POC that democrats have elevated – its practically a white boys club at national level. And even with Kamala, the white democrats who are pushing for Biden to step aside can’t even suggest her name as replacement candidate. Something to think about for democrats because optics definitely doesnt look good!

What is the path ahead for democrats at this point? I think Biden really needs to look hard at himself and think if he will actually win the election or not if he continues. Republicans are already unifying and have the momentum from all angles at this point (monetary, public view, donors, media). I am just failing to see any game plan from Biden or democrats to turn around something even in name of public opinion. Democrats really need to stop this **its all falling apart** theme that they’ve embarked upon. Its just very depressing to see my party so fucking chaotic.

J D Vance is unique in the sense that he is a clone of Trump and his values where shaped by his Indian nationalist wife, so he could simultaneously also be the PM of India while being the VP.

Honestly think Trump missed a trick by not nominating Vance as his VP pick instead of Vivek. For that we must be thankful because this gives me hope that the may be beatable at the ballot after all. With Vivek, I thought it was a solid pick as a wingman for Trump. I wonder if Trump saw too much of himself in Vivek.

I am curious to see how the year of accountability is going for people keeping track.
