Yet another issue with HVAC Heat Pump this morning. Walk down in morning to frigid first floor at 60 degrees. Clearly the heating has failed on first floor again so I promptly call the tech. They send a person out in morning – the guy spends hours and hours here only for him to say, “I cant diagnose this thing. I dont know whats wrong!” – upon asking he agrees when he came to the house the system had completely failed, but since then it restarted working and he hasn’t figured out why it did. Except, it hasn’t really – the house temperatures have approached 68-69 mostly because of sun outside, not because the heat pump is doing anything. Even i can tell the auxillary heat is not even firing at all this point but he says its fine its not. Whatever. So we will spend a evening with heaters and I have yet another technical from another company coming in tomorrow morning. Did I tell you how much I FUCKING HATE HEAT PUMPS!

Yesterday morning when we woke up to 10″ of snow and cold first thing I told A was *I hope some teenagers knock our doors for shoveling, I will pay them well to do it for us*. Nobody showed up, and we did it on our own. Our neighbors too were all out with their snow blowers and shovels. Later towards evening a resident made a post about asking the same in our HOA Facebook group about any teenagers wanting to earn some money by shoveling. Then other residents started replying about how *in their times* there would be at least 1 or 2 group of teenagers making quick money shoveling residents drive ways and how that has now completely dried out. Older residents reminisced about how their own kids making money with it. I guess with modern conveniences and societal norms kids & teenagers no longer feel that need or drive to do this? When you can spend your time cozied up in house playing your Playstations or Homepods or iPads, I am sure even the teenagers don’t feel any specific need for doing something outdoorsy, even if it means earning money on the side. I asked my daughter to ping her friends and see if they wanted to go out and help shovel driveways for older residents in this community, and she got absolutely no interest anyone, at which point she didnt do it either saying *well everyone’s shoveling on their own and I am not comfortable on my own*. Times have truly changed haven’t they?

Round two of shoveling done with additional 2” inch of snow overnight. It’s just freezing cold outside so it was actually easier to shovel coz everything is brittle.

Where have all the neighborhood teenagers gone who would make a quick buck for shoveling? I was actually looking forward to a few knocks by neighborhood kids and I would have paid them handsomely to shovel my driveway.

First round of back breaking snow removing done. Part 2 of snow falls this evening so another round is on cards this evening or tomorrow. Sadly because of extended sleet snow is heavy and this is going to become so icy.

10” of snow in forecast. Gonna be a beautiful few hours of fresh snow and then weeks of dread and dirty ugly brown slush it becomes. Weather is remaining cold which means it will stay for a while making walks with doggo super challenging everyday. Fuck winter.

So we just discovered that doggo is obsessed with puran polis 😂. Like obsessed is the right word coz he is stuck in kitchen whining and begging for it. Too funny.

It took us two people one inside the carnival and one in garage to finally park the minivan inside. It’s not that the carnival wouldn’t fit, but the thousand sensors in the car all start blaring at you while pulling into garage throwing all your senses off. Needed another person help to to pull in garage because trying to focus on the sensors was a disaster.

Audi A3 sedan is the worst German car I have driven. That’s all.
