Donald Trump signs order shifting US back towards plastic straws

Imagine being his supporter and voter and being triggered… by fucking straws! His base competes with single cell organisms and I am quite sure those organisms will still win out in intelligence.

A report of mine who just joined the team in December told me last evening they are quitting and moving elsewhere. Fuck my life. With hiring frozen, I can’t even backfill the role for a while. I really dislike such people; if you were not sure about this job why take it? Why all the charade of OMG I want to work in this team only to come back and say I never stopped looking and now I want that job instead. And this employee had the nerve to ask if I could ask the company to forgive the moving costs they paid to the employee for taking the role. Hell no. Deal with it.

Kid fell sick over the weekend which means we can’t be that far away from meeting the same fate!

Its been a couple of weeks now since I’ve moved to self hosted “micro” blog, and honestly I don’t miss micro.blog, at all. I thought I would miss the conversations there but a lot of people I followed have moved away too, and the ones that haven’t cross post it to masto/bluesky anyway. I guess this should be a success for indieweb and not a negative.

Stupid fucking snow tomorrow again, and we have a double whammy coming. This just means good majority of neighbors will never clean their sidewalks, and the snow will take weeks to melt, while also posing ice hazards on a daily basis, making our doggy walks frightful. We won’t even be able to use our backyard for a long time again until the snow melts. Ugh, not looking forward to this at all. This has been a miserable winter!

Turns out I was not the only one feeling they couldn’t understand a single word of what Lamar was singing. Apparently the sound mixing was completely off or gone wrong. That makes more sense to me!

I admit the only part of singing that I actually comprehended was sung by SZA 😂. I mean I like Lamar but the genre is just so hard to follow without close captions.
