While I was not a fan of his Prime Minister era and do think his prime ministership is what led to India of the right-wing today, absolutely no one can deny Manmohan Singh’s impact to India and his stint as finance minister of India in 1990s. India wouldn’t be where it is today without his pivotal moves at critical moment of India’s history and for that alone he should rightfully be remembered as one of India’s greatest icon, ever. RIP.

The backyard is wet like a fucking swamp with no sun in sight and more rain on the way. Makes it impossible to play with doggo in the backyard; I am in half a mind now to just get artificial grass like my neighbor put in. I was so against the idea when he suggested it but now think maybe there is some truth in it.
Every time cleaners come to our house i feel guilty because the house has never been that dirty and somehow they still walk out with multiple trashbags and the house magically looks cleaner and smells nice. What am I missing.

Silo does move ahead right? I can’t believe they spent an entire season of Juliette just planning her trip. I get it they needed to setup the world for first few episodes – now it’s become tedious and really not going anywhere.
I have heard earth revolves around something called as a Sun. Is that true? Coz I haven’t seen him out in days and days together here. Like enough already let’s just bring back the sun.
Heat was on my watch list but after the godfather rewatch experience I am in two minds whether to touch that movie!
So a new years resolution (or more like continue to do what I am doing) is to keep my interest in various things I’ve been doing past couple of weeks since A and R are on vacation. I feel like I’ve had so much time to dabble in art (not that I am good at it but it just makes me happy and that is all!), cleaning up and going marie kondo around the house and also getting in my walks/gym. I mean sure life with family is definitely busier especially planning our days and weeks around kid activities but still I couldn’t have been THAT busy that I did not have time for any of this? Seems more like self inflicted laziness of why I didnt want to do it vs actually having time. I am sure even with all the chores and time tables I should able to find time to do some hobbies – so this new year I’d like to do more of what I am doing right now. (And no, cleaning is not a hobby but I do need to Marie Kondo so much shit that it will take a few months of weekend work).
Favorite movies of 2024: This was easy – Dune 2 and Inside Out 2 in English, and Berlin in Hindi.
Favorite TV show of 2024: This was easy too – Trying S4 and Slow Horses S4, both on Apple TV were the best shows by a long fucking mile.
23 movies and 10 TV shows this year we’ve seen. 10 might undercount by a few since we finished multiple seasons of a single show but they are few. This would indicate a movie every other week with quite a bit of TV shows thrown in. I think its an approximate representation of how much TV I watch, which is not much. We also start a lot of TV shows that we never end up watching beyond 1-2 episodes.
