Also heartening to see MCG have a record attendance ever for a test match besting a record thats almost a 100 years old! That goes to show the Border-Gavaskar trophy has now become the premier cricketing event in the world now, thanks largely to India and Australia fighting spirit. Also, how amazing is MCG? Its the fucking mecca of cricket, period. And so easy to get to with accessible public transportation. That whole sporting complex is so easy to get to, its not a surprise that they fill up easily.

Glad I went off to bed at tea time and did not have to sit through the collapse of Indian batting. That said this MCG test match was riveting – exactly how a 5 day test match should be. Test cricket is alive and well between these two teams. I truly enjoy watching test matches way more than any other format now.

If this isn’t the end of Rohit’s captaincy and test career it would be a shame.

A change in my writing style over last few years I have noticed is I no longer translate or provide explanation of colloquial terms I use in my posts. I used to at one point explain the regional Indian terms I used for benefit of mostly non Indian readers, but I have just stopped doing that now. My funda now is if you want to know what it means, select the text and google it – chances are you will get the right answer. Also makes me feel that my posts are more authentic and writing for myself rather than others.

It will take Herculean effort to even draw this test match much less win. Australia in dominant position but a day of cricket left.

Is it ok to say I am glad Carter passed away while Biden is still in office? At least he will get the recognition and respect from this White House before it becomes a trash can in 20 days. RIP.

A nice 65 degree weather outside; was perfect for an afternoon walk. I say lets just skip winter and jump into spring right away! No one’s gonna complain about 6 months of spring!

In today’s time, H1b is almost a curse because of the long immigration queue to become permanent citizens. The path for H1b-s to become permanent citizens is already arduous and long, and people who recently or are just going to begin their H1b journey already have a very long very painful journey ahead. My position since a few years has to be actively advise whoever asks me not immigrate to the USA on H1b and instead stay put in India and focus on growing their careers there. In today’s time my advise is its not worth it and differences that once existed between the two countries don’t exist as much anymore. I mean sure there will always be things that sets countries apart, but there is more in commonality between the two countries than without, which was not at all true in 1990s or early 2000s. My cousin right now is taking a “break year” after graduation to “find himself” apparently (see, commonality!) and one of his options is to do masters if he doesn’t find a good paying job there. I am like keep this as your last option not your first!

Dealing with Dyson support is just painful. They make great products and kinda Apple of the home goods world at this point, but gawd their offshore support is just hard to deal with.

Bumrah does all the hard work only for a lazy ass Jaiswal to fuck it up. I get you miss once, but thrice at this level of cricket is unacceptable. And he is not even old that you can excuse it because of age. Does not bode well for him.
