I am usually as pessimistic as they come, but just some mid-data of over performance in northern Virginia and under performance in South-West Virginia & Shenandoah Valley is making heart feel a bit more warmer right now. Too early to call and still lot of time left, but boy that just looks like the best possible pattern democrats would hope for. Will it translate? Time will tell.

Let’s do this Virginia! Dear Indians of Loudon county, remember just by voting red your skin color won’t turn from brown to white as much as you believe so, so vote accordingly! Dear black people – keep saving us as you always do every election! Dear white people – this is your chance to elevate from pretty posters to actually making a difference. Vote!

The funny thing with AI companies like OpenAI making billions of dollars of investment – maybe even hundreds of billions at this point – you could have hired millions of people and they would have proven just as useful with real human intelligence. The whole idea was to cut costs no? 🤷

Last night A and I were talking about how we are reaching a point that our parents trips to USA are going to be very limited, and at most we have a handful trips more before they decide long distance travel is not for them anymore. Already a couple of our friends families in India who are older than our parents have made it clear to them that they are no longer going to visit USA. The distance and their age related ailments makes it hard for them to make the trek anymore and the only option is for them to visit India. I feel that’s coming for us soon and we are not ready for this mentally, even though we do visit India pretty often. This trip we’ve seen our parents age and it’s sobering. It’s just a reminder that we need to try to visit India more often than we already do, if only to spend more time with our parents.

This season of the Great British Bakeoff has been one of the most one sided Bake-offs in a while. It’s been clear from week 3 who is going into final and is the one to beat – there really is no competition to this person this season and the finale is going to be mostly academic in nature. (Not sure if finale is already aired in UK, if so don’t spoil it!)
