Body breaking exercise this afternoon mowing only the front yard. Its been raining quite a bit over last week and the grass was still wet. And mowing a wet lawn is not fun at all. Not at all. Multiple rounds of mowing same area and blow drying and removing the accumulating clippings or spreading them around. Ugh. Exhausted. And this after an early swim meet today followed by an early swim meet tomorrow also!

Kohli tells BCCI he wants to retire from tests – dude so what’s the drama? Just retire no? Didn’t Rohit do it just a week ago without any fanfare or shosha? What’s all this nonsense of slipping news to media to elevate its importance. This distinction between Rohit and Virat is something I have always liked about Rohit.
Yep I would rather stay home then vote for her, or Newsom or a traditional establishment candidate. These people are not serious people.
I would love to know what prompted the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. I am sure a lot goes unsaid and untold in media of what actually lead to it but would make for good story! Also, has Akshay Kumar bought the rights of the movie yet? Coz I am sure he already is writing the script.
Remember my previous trumpkin boss that I have written about multiple times in past? He retired. Out of the blue. Out. So much for ‘retire’. Anyway, I am happy karma caught up with him, eventually and finally. Maybe perhaps way too late than it should have, but still happy it did. I guess he can join the current administration now.
My extended family WhatsApp group has devolved into extreme jingoistic crap last few days since the India-Pakistan conflict started. People making crap jokes about how “India’s batting will destroy Pakistan’s bowling” in the skies and BS. Like they don’t even seem to have basic empathy right now, and even worse one of the youngest brother-in-law who is in the group is actually an air force pilot who’s been called on the line while his wife (my cousin) is about to have a kid literally in 2 weeks. Like some of my relatives are now so completely brain-dead and brain-washed out that they can’t even pull their heads out of shit-pile they are in read the room. Infuriated.
One of the most refreshing parts about this role change is my white manager who is an outspoken hater of the current party in white house and makes no bones about it publicly. He is upto date on project 25 and is super politically in the know at all times. Its so refreshing personally for me as a brown man because it feels less stressful and refreshing. Compared to my old boss who was a Trumpkin and it felt like walking on eggshells at all times with him.
Personally I was vested in The Last of Us only because of Joel/Pedro Pascal. I actually find Ellie/Bella Ramsey extremely annoying. After episode 2, I decided to go ahead and read the entire plot of Last of Us 2 on Wikipedia and now I don’t have to wait week after week to figure out what happens next. And I am glad I read the whole plot.
If everything went according to plan, India probably hit some 9 obscure sites in Pakistan claiming terrorist camps. Pakistan government also realizes they lost some civilians too. Both sides will shake hands and now retreat for a few more years. Like it’s good both have nukes so neither side actually has any balls to do anything more and maybe that’s actually ok.
Its raining outside, and I can’t get enough of this track today. In particular I love this song on headphones; something about the sound mixing of this song is really immersive!
