On a whim this morning I decided to check out what are working laws in India for a foreigner like me. Turns out just like USA, if I as a US citizen want to work in India, I have to go through similar process, get a work visa, be paid well, and do a job that an Indian national did not quality for. For whatever reason i kept thinking that because I am an Indian (I am still not used to being an “American” even after citizenship of few years), I should be able to do any job in India right away. Was a good sobering moment to realize its not the same anymore. Which leads me to believe, knowing all the uncertainty there is right now, if you are an Indian citizen on a Green Card in this country, please considering waiting this presidency out to see what might be the impact. As a GC holder you won’t miss much that citizens have, but you have a ready option in India to go back to work unlike us! Definitely food for thought!
I did not sleep well last night at all. Somehow all the negative news of the day caught up with me and I was just stressed. I am a step away from muting all the keywords also now on bluesky/mona because I truly do not want to hear what this administration is doing or care. I need less stress in my life and this is not helping.

I am just really trying hard to keep away from all news of this administration and it keeps coming in some form or another. I glance at it and all I think is burn it all down. Fuck right off.
A long exhausting day to do not much finally. I feel like the entire day was a waste mostly except saying hi hello to a few in the new building. It’s insane how corporations are not realizing what a time sink WFO is. Like I am now exhausted by travel, I didn’t achieve much, and I am not going to spend any time at home working anymore. The company got nothing out of me today but I guess that’s what they want anyway so it is what it is.

Deleted my micro.blog account. I didnt realize that you not only have to stop your subscription, but specifically go to a different page to delete your account and all the content hosted there. I thought about keeping the free account, but I dont want my data everywhere for no specific reason; if I go back to micro one day, can always just import again.
Visiting the actual HQ today for a meeting and it was gonna take me an hour just to get there and then parking nonsense. Decided to uber in instead but also who the fuck builds anything in crystal city? It’s like middle of nowhere and it’s hard to reach for everyone. There is a reason why in spite of proximity to DC crystal city has been a ghost town all these decades. What a terrible location for HQ2!

One of the quirks with wordpress is that if your post doesnt have a “title” it does not create a direct accessible permalink. You can get to the post if you know the URL, but there is no way to load a single post without a title. Thats where code “snippets” come in. I installed code snippets plugin, and put in some code I found on web for titling posts without title with time stamps. After few iteration which time iteration i actually like, I am going to settle with this one for a bit and see how it turns out.

These are actually really good suggestions and action items. I am just exhausted and tired to do anything about them. Things I can do individually I will, and maybe thats enough for now. I have no energy for anything more.
